Oh, the year I don't vote for Dierks. Please, fellow Pulsers, don't die from shock.

Funny thing is that Sideways ranks among my favorites. I can't explain it.

Damn 2009 was an amazing year. Funny, I was just about to post about how awful this year was looking at this list of songs. I love maybe like 5 songs on here and a handful of others I find "tolerable," but there's a large chunk of these that are either overplayed-as-hell or I just flat-out dislike. The 2008 tournament was waaaay stronger.

For someone reason I'm still interested in chart watching though, go figure.

This is when I really began to check out from mainstream country, to be honest. This is "Bleh" City.
Voted for Already Gone, God Love Her, Down the Road, River of Love, White Horse, Out Last Night, People Are Crazy, and Welcome to the Future.

Lol, that was precisely what I said to myself making this thread. I really like some of the songs here ("Already Gone", "Down The Road", "People Are Crazy", "Welcome To The Future", "Start A Band") but overall this wasn't nearly as good to me as 2008. I think country radio went progressively downhill from 2007 onward with late 2008 to mid 2009 being really cruddy IMHO.

I can't at some of you labeling 2009 as the year Country went mainstream and then completely sideswiping "I Told You So".

I would have voted for literally every song from the 2008 poll (except "Everybody Wants to Go to Heaven") over every song in this poll, with the exception of 5 or 6 songs. You know this is a weak bunch of songs when I vote for Toby Keith...
