I am excited for this. He has a lot of momentum right now. "Good Things" says otherwise :'(

I'm TEAM TEACHER too. But, since that isn't happening, I'm interested to hear this one. For me, Teacher is going to be hard to beat. I think he is getting a couple COX stations to do an hourly deal Friday. I haven't seen any IHeart stations mention it yet. I'm sure they'll pop up tomorrow.

Didn't he just say that he's not doing a new album for a bit because he thought there was potential left on his debut?

I think he's doing like what Jesse McCartney did in 2008/2009 with "Departure" and just re-releasing his initial album with a few new songs, so any singles would come from them and not the original album. So it looks like "Teacher" "Numb" or "Wilderness" is history in terms of single chances.

Just premiered on Z100.
HOT HOT HOT. Should be a HIT. This has a breakdown after the choruses. As much as I wanted Teacher to be a single, I can partly accept this being released over it now.

Hint: If you Shazam the clip posted in the tweet above, you're allowed to listen to the track in full on Shazam.
Song is definitely a hit. That "bomp bomp bomp bomp" bit is going to get annoying fast though.

Not impressed. "Jealous" is still easily my favorite by him.
I feel like if he released this in place of "Jealous," radio would have hardly paid it any attention.

Hard to tell with the quality, but it sounds pretty good. Idk why but some of the instrumental stems in the verses low key remind me of Hey Mama and Pretty Girls

Listened on Shazam and I love it. Jealous is better, yes, but for me that isn't saying much since that song never got old for me. It would be hard for him to top that for me.
This song is really short though. My only complaint.

I love it! This feels like a lost Prince song from the mid 80s. I love the bassline. The pre-chorus is sooo good. Nick's vocals are everything on this. I like that this sounds different from his previous singles. I hope there is proper promotion for this.

This is decent. I think "Numb" and "Teacher" are better, but this seems like a grower.
ETA: The 'oooh oooh oooh''s in the bridge sound like Talay. Hmm.

I don't like it on first couple of listens. Doesn't come close to Jealous or Chains or Teacher.

According to the digital delivery email, this is the 1st single from his 2nd solo album which will be released in early 2016, so no for a re-release.

Eh, it's alright. The vocals are a little annoying. Plus, I wanted him to release "Numb." I hope he works with the writers and producers that did "Jealous" again. I don't know if it was a fluke or what, but they seriously made magic with that song.

Agree with the average reviews for this. I like it, but it's not all that amazing. Beat is hot. His vocals are good but some what grating at times. I bought it anyway. =p

Eh, it's alright. The vocals are a little annoying. I hope he works with the writers and producers that did "Jealous" again. I don't know if it was a fluke or what, but they seriously made magic with that song. This! Second listen of "Levels" a day later and I feel even more that it has hit potential, but I like it even less personally. Can not deal with that aforementioned squeak on the chorus (whose idea was that shit?) and I'm personally not a fan of the retro touches that give it a slight semblance to an electrified "Blurred Lines." But the things that annoy me are probably what will make it fit in with radio, so whatever. Compared to "Chains" at least this one has some character, but it's certainly nowhere near "Jealous" in quality.

I was unsure about this based on the previews, but was pleasantly surprised when I heard the whole thing. I love the melody and the vocal arrangement, the beat is really good, and the production is interesting. It works well as a whole imo. I could do without that squeak on "keep" though! ikr! I wasn't aware that Nick Jonas was part mouse.

This sounds so much better in HQ than in the radio rip. I'm digging it so far; hope he delivers a great video with that breakdown that lends itself to some nice choreo.
