I'm unsure how far back some folks memories go back, but I guess one more year won't hurt. :) MB only #1's:Terri Clark - "I Just Wanna Be Mad" Tim McGraw - "She's My Kind Of Rain" Billboard Only #1's:Randy Travis - "Three Wooden Crosses" There are just 19 songs in this round one poll so you only get 8 votes. 1. Blake Shelton - "The Baby" 2. Gary Allan - "Man To Man" 3. Dixie Chicks - "Travelin' Soldier" 4. Joe Nichols - "Brokenheartsville" 5. Dierks Bentley - "What Was I Thinkin'" 6. Randy Travis - "Three Wooden Crosses" 7. Brooks & Dunn - "Red Dirt Road" 8. Diamond Rio - "I Believe"
9. Mark Wills - "19 Somethin'" 10. Terri Clark - "I Just Wanna Be Mad" 11. Gary Allan - "Tough Little Boys" 12. Keith Urban - "Who Wouldn't Wanna Be Me" 13. Tim McGraw - "Real Good Man" 14. Tim McGraw - "She's My Kind Of Rain" 15. Toby Keith w/Willie Nelson - "Beer For My Horses" 16. Alan Jackson f/Jimmy Buffett - "It's Five O'Clock Somewhere" 17. Toby Keith - "I Love This Bar" 18. Darryl Worley - "Have You Forgotten?" 19. Lonestar - "My Front Porch Lookin' In"
15 through 18 are four of the most overplayed songs on country radio, in my lifetime; all of them are station changers. Lonestar's is just plain bad.

"Travelin' Soldier" was definitely one of my favorites from the Dixie Chicks, along with their great rendition of "Landslide." "Beer for My Horses" is a great song from Toby and Willie, plus the video features a very important actor to me. Thanks for keeping me tagged all these weeks sabre, it means so much.

Ah, the memories. :'( 2002-03' was the time I fell in love with Country; I vividly remember so many memories with most of these songs. 1. "The Baby" I was so tempted to let the Dixie Chicks take the top spot, but I just love this song, and I had to put it as my number one choice. It's just an incredible song, and Blake's performance is wonderful, too. 2. "Travelin' Solider" What an incredible masterpiece of a song, from an equally masterful album. Easily one of my favorite Country songs of all-time, and (IMO), one of the best of the 00's. 3. Gary Allan- "Tough Little Boys" Love the song is really touching. 4. "Man To Man" I've always really liked this one, and I think it's really underrated. 5. "Beer For My Horses" This is one of those songs I didn't really like during its chart run, but I've come to love it due to the memories associated with it. My Grandpa wasn't a fan of modern Country at all, but BFMH was one that he really liked. I vividly remember being at my Grandparent's house and him singing this song when the video would come on. . Since it holds such a great memory for me now, I've come to really like it.

4. "Man To Man" I've always really liked this one, and I think it's really underrated. I love "Man To Man" too but I don't think its underrated. I've seen Gary live multiple times and "Man To Man" is always in the top two or three songs that gets the biggest reaction from the crowd -- people love that song. It's hard for a song to be underrated when it goes #1 as well, lol. Judging by the vote totals, it should be moving on to the second round.

I didn't really mean this was underrated by his fans, just in general. When most people think Gary Allan (if they know him), they'd likely think of "Life Ain't Always Beautiful, Watching Airplanes, etc. "Man To Man" isn't really the kind of song that stands out, and since he's released lots of great material since then, I'm just speculating that maybe this has gotten a little buried over the years.

I will say that might have to do "Tough Little Boys" and "Nothing On But The Radio" following not long after and both of those songs have gotten heavy recurrent airplay over the years -- more so than "Man To Man." "Songs About Rain" is another song that his die hard fans adore.
