The Bieber remix is smart, it could certainly help. I think the song will be blocked from #1 due to Adele, but I don't think it is COMPLETELY over. The song is still going to be rising on radio, and it will probably hit #1 on CHR briefly. Plus, the Bieber remix, and all the memes and buzz right now from his "dancing."

NOT King Sufjan Stevens murdering Drake on his own song. The singing, the dancing, the band...I will take this over the original any day.

I think this could still have a chance at #1 tbh. If it has the streaming longevity of Trap Queen or Watch Me it just needs to stay fairly stable for like the next 8 weeks (which is hardly un-heard of in the Hot 100 in 2015 lol) by which time hopefully Adele will have dropped below it.

The only flaw in that theory is 7/8 weeks from now is Christmas week, and Adele's gift card boost is probably going to be huge.

You know your song's cultural influence is maxed out when Donald Trump dances to it on SNL:

If it has the streaming longevity of Trap Queen or Watch Me it just needs to stay fairly stable for like the next 8 weeks (which is hardly un-heard of in the Hot 100 in 2015 lol) by which time hopefully Adele will have dropped below it. The only flaw in that theory is 7/8 weeks from now is Christmas week, and Adele's gift card boost is probably going to be huge. You're right, and another flaw with my theory is that when Adele's album gets released it'll provide a massive boost to Hello's streaming (on the other hand, if Drake releases his album soon and Hotline Bling is on it that will boost it's streaming too). If Adele falls faster than we expect, or if Hotline Bling can manage to hold on until after the Christmas rush (unlikely imo), then it could still get #1 that way. On the other hand, if Hotline Bling went viral (well, more than it already is) in a few weeks when it's closer to Hello in points it could be enough to overtake. It happened to Watch Me recently and it climbed back to #4 on the Hot 100, so if something like that happens to Hotline Bling in a few weeks it could sneak a week at #1, possibly. Also, Billboard might adjust the Hot 100 formula at year-end which is a couple of weeks I think. So that could have an effect too, but if they do it to increase sales and lower streaming that would more likely help Adele. Another issue is that Adele's 2nd single could replace Hello at #1. So it's very unlikely that Hotline Bling will ever get #1, but not completely impossible imo. In my opinion the best bet for Hotline Bling is to have the Justin Bieber remix released for download and with a music video the week before Adele's album comes out (so they get in before Hello's inevitable massive streaming boost). If Justin's remix is over the original instrumental it should count to Hotline Bling's points, since other songs like UOENO had remixes by other artists on Youtube count towards the original's streaming.

I wasn't keen on this at first, but I guess that's changed. I like it now. Hopefully this manages to squeak in at no. 1 before Adele takes over.

My CHR (101.3 KDWB)'s DJ just started playing this song then cut it off halfway through and stated that "this song is terrible" and proceeded to play Shawn Mendes.....

I think this is now Drake's biggest hit in Italy. It entered the top 20 on the FIMI chart this week. #slay

I'm not so sure the thread needed to be bumped for that realization, though.

Its not a bump if the song is still active and charting.

The song might be active but the thread wasn't. Therein lies the difference.
