- With "Uptown Funk!" finally gone, we have a tie between "Love Me Like You Do" and "Sugar" for the oldest record on AT40
- Despite "Locked Away" entering the Top 10, there was no Two-For-One for the second straight week with an extra Breakout added instead.

What the chart giveth, the chart taketh away: The Weeknd exits with one former #1 single, stays on top with another, and debuts a followup. Taylor Swift also follows up another chart-topper, with a song that would be her fifth #1 in a row if it gets there. Justin Bieber debuts with his first solo hit in two years, and exactly six years to the week after he did so for the first time (with "One Time".) And we have a newcomer, Alessia Cara, rounding out the debuts.

If "Love Me Like You Do" and "Sugar" both drop out next week (possible), then "Talking Body" would be the "dean" of the chart, followed by "Want To Want Me". As mentioned, there is no Two for One, and new top 10 entrants R.City don't have any previous hits to feature, but of course there are umpteen Adam Levine songs to choose from, one of which is heard as an extra earlier in the show (we do get a double dose of Rihanna extras.) "Lean On" should probably be #1 next week, an interesting feat since it has three different credited artists from three different countries (US, France, and Denmark.)

Other fun geographical facts: three out of the four artists with debuting songs are Canadian, and 18 of the top 40 hits are by foreign lead acts (not counting featured artists), or 19 if you count the US Virgin Islands (a US territory which R. City are from originally) as such. Among those lead artists, Canada, Australia, England, Scotland, France, Germany, Sweden, the Netherlands, and Jamaica are all represented.

This chart confuses me, how the hell did Sileto move up 2? I thought that song was LONG gone.

I like the breakouts, more specifically Levels and Exs and Ohs.

Riptide gets an extra after falling off like 2 1/2 months ago. I'd call it a slow week, but I like it!

• I Don't Like It, I Love It is at its fourth straight week at #23.
• Something like Selena's Naturally or one of Taylor's big country crossover hits would be great Two For Ones. I'm always begging for not so big hits.

Yes, Mediabase would be airplay only. Occasionally, Ryan would tell us that our "votes" influence the chart. But I'm hard pressed to believe that that would be the case, in reality.

In the past, Ryan used to always say what AT40 was based on. He always said it was based on radio airplay and our requests from the hottest radio stations according to Mediabase.

"What's Luv?" peaked at #3 (Radio & Records/AT40) in May 2002. It does get some recurrent play, so you might recognize it if you heard it even if you're too young or otherwise don't remember when it was first a hit. (Side note: considering how the featured Ja Rule and especially Ashanti seemed to be everywhere around that time, they sure faded fast at least in terms of pop radio.)

Good show as usual. If it's The Hills by The Weeknd, any more like this?  I thought
of The Letter by The Box Tops.  And speaking of old songs we've had previous incarnations
of Bad Blood, How Deep Is Your Love, Photograph, Downtown.  Wildest Dreams is close.

I turned up the computer volume, and used a new boom box, and it came out great this week.

I have been having trouble getting the I-Heart American Top 40 to play on www.iheart.com/live/american-top-40-4802/, ever since I got an internet upgrade yesterday. Is anybody here having any trouble getting it on your computer?
