Lady Gaga - Yes, she will have a comeback. Katy Perry - No, but she'll have a good run until about 2018 Rihanna - She'll probably do something liek Janet Jackson did on 2001 and then disappear. Lana Del Rey - No. Taylor Swift - Yeah, probably Nicki Minaj - She'll be featured on hits here and there. Miley Cyrus - Probably the most likely bet. Selena Gomez - I'm going to say no. Demi Lovato - I'm going to say yes. Talent lasts. Ariana Grande - Yes, she's just getting started. One Direction - No way. Justin Bieber - Unfortunately, probably yes. The label will work hard to keep him relevant Sam Smith - If he waits as long as Adele to release his next album, maybe. Jessie J - No, because she's not rocking the charts right now. Meghan Trainor - No, has too specific of a sound. Fifth Harmony - Definitely not, unless one goes solo or something. 5SOS - No. Little Mix - No.

Miley Cyrus - Probably the most likely bet. Demi Lovato - I'm going to say yes. Talent lasts. I can't see Miley still being around in 5 years. Her antics will eventually wear thin on people and they'll probably move on to someone else. Only way I see her sticking around it's if she cleans up her act and starts making very appealing pop songs, otherwise, don't see it. You can only sustain that amount of attention for so long. As for Demi, I don't know, she's not really in the spotlight or is as popular as much as some of her other pop star peers and it feels to me like she has hit songs that get popular for a period of time, but then are kind of forgotten. I think she's a toss-up, but I don't think I would bet on her still being relevant then.

Just say yes or no and explain why (if you want to)
Lady Gaga - Yes Katy Perry - Yes Rihanna - Maybe Lana Del Rey - No Taylor Swift - Yes Nicki Minaj - Yes Miley Cyrus - Yes Selena Gomez - No Demi Lovato - yes Ariana Grande - Yes One Direction - Not as a group Justin Bieber - Yes Sam Smith - Yes Jessie J - No Meghan Trainor - No Fifth Harmony - No 5SOS - Yes Little Mix - No
Explanations: Yes: Lady Gaga's dalliance with acting is just temporary and my feeling is that her next couple of albums will push her back to relevance. Katy's upcoming musical feud with Taylor Swift will push her music to new heights and stave off obscurity. Taylor is eager to prove that 1989 wasn't a fluke and stays relevant through the period as well. Nicki will continue to perform with other artists as well as herself and will continue to make hits happen. My feeling is that Miley will spend more time on music and less time on immature antics and as long as we avoid any more Doooo Its will probably stick around due to her talent. Demi Lovato may be more touch and go than other artists, but I predict she'll stick around with her music. Ariana will prove that her musical pipes can propel her to new heights with hopefully the songwriting will step up as well. Justin may be turning it around, and I think he'll prove 2015 is just the beginning. Although Sam will find that Writing on the Wall is no Skyfall (as far as US success goes), his musical career will continue to shine. 5 Seconds of Summer survives because there'll be a void in the boy band industry and they'll be the ones to fill it. Maybe: Rhianna's last era was pretty terrible with only one top 5 and a top 20 to show for it. Plus, she passed on Lean On which might have helped to make up for it. Based on her music, either she can prove that we witnessed a speed bump and the hit machine will roll on or we're witnessing the beginning of the Rhianna decline. No: Lana will still be performing, but there's a difference between performing and being chart relevant. I see Selena splitting her time between acting and music, with probably more on the former and less on the latter. One Direction's split will probably become permanent as I see several artists from that group try to prove that they're the next Justin. Jessie J's relevance has already faded thanks to the failure of Flashlight in compared to Cups; it appears that her only hits will be alongside other artists. By 2020, I think Meghan will still be doing music but she'll spend more time performing on the state fair circuit than on the charts. I think in 5 years that Fifth Harmony will have imploded with several singers going for solo careers. And Little Mix will still be performing, but will be more likely to stay relevant on the British charts than the American ones.

Gonna add these in case no one saw: Bruno Mars---Yes The Weeknd---Yes Adele---Yes Pink---Maybe Kelly Clarkson---Yes Drake---Yes Eminem---No Lorde---Maybe Maroon 5---No Ellie Goulding---Yes Macklemore---Maybe Yes: Bruno will continue raining down hits into 2020. The Weeknd will prove to be legitimate and continue to improve. Adele will continue to write hit songs through the time frame and save the better ones for herself. I think Kelly Clarkson will have a nice comeback with her next album and the next contract she signs will leave her more fulfilled as an artist. If Hotline Bling is any indication, I think Drake will have staying power into the next decade. I see Ellie still landing some chart relevant hits into 2020. Maybe: For P!nk, it comes down to the last couple of years. I think her next album will have a couple of hits, but will she still be trying for the saucy, brassy singer or will she continue to evolve. The answer to that question will reveal whether she'll still be performing big hits into 2020 or whether she'll be winding down in Vegas. Lorde could have more riding on this next album than anyone thinks. She has to prove that Royals and Team weren't flukes, but part of a winning formula. Musical tastes might also reflect whether she lasts as a hit artist into 2020. Musical tastes will also determine whether Macklemore can continue as a relevant artist in 2020, but if he does more stuff like Growing Up, he might be able to last that long. No: Eminem is winding down his career. He's already losing chart relevance and by 2020 might be lucky to have his opening single reach the top 40. By 2020, Maroon 5 will have broken up and Adam Levine will be going it alone with a solo career.
