I hate to say this, but a mic in the water? You'd think it'd be waterproof?
Overall, good performance and good show.

Celine, Alanis and Coldplay were better than anything from last year's AMAs by a long shot.

Obvious lipping, but what a trifecta of good singles. Only because the mic wasn't working in the end I'm guessing.

I thought the show was pretty great overall. The JLO opening was incredible.

I have warmed up to the little asshole Justin Bieber, his new album and singles are great and I dont care that he was lipping never thought he was a worthy vocalist anyways, so spare us and lip but no matter how much i like his album. Seeing his face still irates my life. Not ready to play nice with him live, but yeah his album is dope.

Did everyone enjoy that performance of "All That" by Carly Rae Jepsen? Wait I know that didn't actually happen, but it should have. One of the best songs of this year. Her whole album is such a pop triumph.

"All That" Sounding like some glorious 80's beat and evokes Prince is well just too good for these awards shows. Carly is above these hoes they had to keep her away!
P.S E.MO.TION song and album dust the floor with most of POP/R&B in 2015 ironic that her worst song ever is still her biggest one. Fitting when Katy and Taylor and Call Me Maybe and Goatanna are successful but actual music is overlooked.

His next era will be his 20/20 where he's officially cool and OK to like.

Ariana over Taylor? No. This is deffinitly not fan voted then. I'm convinced something went down btw Taylor and The AMAs. It's not like her to miss anything a major award show especially when she's nominated so many times since she ALWAYS wins. There has to be some "bad blood" (pun intended)- I'm guessing she was tipped off that she wasn't going to win so didn't show up or she pissed off the AMAs by not showing up so they decided to give the awards to artists who were actually in the audience (plays better on TV).

She still won three awards tonight, so...maybe she just decided not to attend this year.

^None where televised though so in the average person's mind she didn't win anything.

Apparently Taylor Swift is in NZ where she should stay. It has her not so smart fans in a tizzy but Coco's take is she should take her talents to a place that is down under.

She won Song of the year and Pop rock album of the year. Two of the major categories. Clearly something happened. There's no way Ariana Grande had more votes than her.

This is his [Bieber's] FutureSex/LoveSounds era where people still hate him but can't resist the music. His next era will be his 20/20 where he's officially cool and OK to like. I don't think Timberlake, despite his NSYNC roots, was ever reviled in quite the same way Bieber was - certainly not by FS/LS. The music has definitely made it more socially acceptable to be a JB fan, but I think he's as 'cool and OK to like' as he'll ever be unless and until he projects credible likability and an attitude adjustment.

Dead @ Alanis getting wheeled out to perform a 20 year old song with Demi Lovato while Gwen gets a solo slot for her new single (currently Top 30 on iTunes).

No he will be, just wait and see. People secretly like douchebags because everyone secretly wishes they could be one (acting like you want without regard for consequences, always getting your way, etc). They're playing it very smart by having the music reflect that persona while pairing it up with truly undeniably cool production.
