Really nice song, but if "That Old Flame" wasn't able to do anything, I doubt that this will.

So I heard this on the radio tonight... The DJ came on and started talking about it like this song is a HUGE deal and made it sound like an upcoming hit in the making. I couldn't help but thinking, "Yeah right, I'd better enjoy this moment, because this is the only time I will ever hear this song on the radio."

^^^^^I don't know what your hometown country station is, but I wholeheartedly agree with you that this flawless song won't go anywhere at country radio; they performed this song on Henley's recent hour-long concert on Austin City Limits which included duets with Martina and Lee Ann Womack as well as two members of the Dixie Chicks.
You should be able to watch that concert in its entirety on the PBS website; it's definitely worth watching over and over again.

You mean Trisha, Martina, and Lee Ann were all there to join him at his concert??! That would be one fabulous show!!

Those three gorgeous ladies all appeared on his sublime new 'Cass County' CD singing those duets.
Furthermore, among the ton of A-1 musicians who also contributed would be Stan Lynch who served as Tom Petty's drummer for over a dozen years, and whom also displayed some serious songwriting chops back in 2004 as the co-writer of Tim McGraw's #1 smash 'Back When', which IMHO should have managed more than one week atop the R&R/Mediabase chart before the ho-hum 'Some Beach' began a four-week run @ #1 to close out the year.
