- Incredibly, Meghan Trainor is part of this week's Biggest Mover ("Like I'm Gonna Lose You") and Biggest Dropper ("Marvin Gaye")
- Once again there is no Two-For-One this week (is "Drag Me Down" ever going to make the Top 10?), thus an extra Breakout was used instead.
- And yes, there are three songs in the last segment which means Seacrest has a big interview planned for the Top Three.

• Two debuts coming into the survey this week, and I don't expect both of them to get far here.
• Is anyone surprised that Ghost Town is still here? If it makes it to next week (its 20th), I might be happy.
• It's kind of weird that Bad Blood dropped six spots and it's now below Hey Mama and Worth It. Because of that, those songs don't move. Hey Mama and Worth It are tied for the oldest song here, and they've been slowly descending these past few weeks.
• I don't know about Becky G's new one debuting soon. Ever since Shower hit the Top 20 last year, she's been struggling to have a song that's about as great as her first mainstream success.
• MO could've had the Two For One with Iggy Azalea's Beg For It, a song she was featured on late last year.
• Drag Me Down will make the Top 10. Believe that.
• With summer over, it's not really a flabbergast to see Cool For The Summer losing massive airplay lately.
• Three of the four songs that debuted on 9/12 are all next to each other in the Top 5.
• The other track, Here, is making some good progress, just on the verge of the Top 20.

Really surprised that "Want to Want Me" is off the chart. The song is still in the mid 20's and gaining spins on the mediabase survey. If AT40 bucks the chart, then we will never see another song ever challenge Dynamite.

Once a song goes recurrent, AT40 just lets the song fall for 10-15 weeks before falling off. They don't really care if the song gains adds or air play. Sometimes though I question it because Bad Blood is below Hey Mama somehow... That's just an observation I'm sure theirs a proper answer.

Is that such a bad thing?

I'd actually prefer that AT40 had a systemic method for removing recurrents, as the Radio & Records chart once did. The current system seems kind of capricious or irregular, and it has the further disadvantage of blocking a number of Mediabase top 40 hits from ever making the countdown because of recurrents that stayed on seemingly forever.

DMD is now in the Mediabase top 10 after getting stuck right outside of it for a while, so it should do the same on AT40. Assuming it does, it will only be 1D's third top 10 hit out of 11 top 40 entries.

It used to be kind of annoying having some recurrents on AT40 for almost a year (or more)and it seems that AT40 has been letting them fall off before they get that far. It's good to have fresh music on the chart without songs that have been on the chart longer than they need to be.

"Party Rock Anthem" was on AT40 for 67 weeks, second only to "Dynamite", which had 72 weeks. These were both from 2010-12; in the last three years nothing has come particularly close to matching that. This year's longest charting hit was "Uptown Funk", which just touched the 40 week mark, the first song to stay that long since "Can't Hold Us", which was on for 43 weeks, ending in early 2014. I could be wrong, but I don't think anything has hit the 50-week milestone since 2012.

It should be #1 this upcoming week, sucks that it wont be The Hills because that would have been the perfect #1 for Halloween!
