Do you guys think Traveller can go no. 1 next week or the week after? Traveller has Ellie Goulding and Tim McGraw out Friday. Plus, Eric Church's first full week out. Week after is One Direction and the Biebs... Ugh forgot about Eric. I don't think Ellie will be a threat but we'll see. I just created a thread for Chris at Ukmix.

Eric Church would be the first Country act to do this, but he really is the perfect one.
I am very curious as to what Christ Stapleton will do in the next day as well given his sweep.

Traveller will have some TEA bump as well, one of the tracks is currently at #2 behind Adele so that will help it a little

Next week will be it's biggest week in TEA, and the following week will be bigger too with a full week after the CMAs.

I think it's interesting that when the standard line in the industry that bro country is where it's at exclusively right now, Chris Stapleton is outselling Eric Church with a 7 month old album of more traditional country

They either didn't know that it would be physically released or were desperately hoping it was only an iTunes exclusive. In any case, if I were to make a guess right now, I'd say that Mr. Understood will be #1, Storyteller and Now 55 will fight for #2 with Now 55 having the edge.

But even iTunes has it listed as an "Exclusive Album"... hmmm.. Also, Chris Stapleton has a shot, too, he's been #1 on iTunes since his performance on the CMAs. And with Carrie's album being sold for 6 bucks, I think it'll be a 3-horse race. Should be very interesting! I wouldn't be mad, though, to see Chris get the #1 album... that would be amazing! ETA: I think the three country albums should easily blow by Now 55. HDD may have factored in the CMAs to their prediction, but they certainly didn't foresee Carrie's album being discounted to 6 bucks.

STAPLETON TRAVELING TO #1 AFTER CMA BREAKOUT
Forget everything you thought you knew about this week's charts, and welcome to the new era. Chris Stapleton’s Traveller (Mercury Nashville) is headed for #1 after his three big CMA wins and a star-making performance with Justin Timberlake. The album, released last May, now sits at #1 at iTunes, natch. Details to follow.

hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=298355Thursday, November 5, 2015 STAPLETON TRAVELING TO #1 AFTER CMA BREAKOUTFellow Nashville Stars Church, Underwood Could Challenge Bearded Breakout for Top Spot Forget everything you thought you knew about this week's charts, and welcome to the new era. Chris Stapleton’s Traveller (Mercury Nashville) is headed for #1 after his three big CMA wins and a star-making performance with Justin Timberlake. The album, released last May, now sits at #1 at iTunes, natch, while song "Tennessee Whiskey," which Stapleton performed with JT, has flown to #2, behind only the mighty Adele. Traveller will sell more in one day than it had moved RTD. Stapleton, winner of the CMA Best New Artist and Male Vocalist of the Year, sees his Album of the Year winner, Traveller, surge over 4000% in overnight sales. The album, not even among the Top 200 albums last week, is likely to re-enter the chart at #1. Traveller may best 100k when our album chart is finalized tomorrow.A surprise release from Eric Church currently sits at #2. Church's Mr. Misunderstood (EMI Nashville) could provide one of two challenges to Stapleton for #1. At #3 is Carrie Underwood's Storyteller (19/Arista Nashville), which has been priced at $5.99 since earlier this week. She will seemingly have the physical advantage as retail struggles to get Church onto the sales floor today and Stapleton's six-month old release may not be stocked at sufficient levels. Watch this space as our Building Album Chart reflects last night's impact. Other artists benefitting from last night's awards are Little Big Town (#7), Sam Hunt (#8), Miranda Lambert (#10) and Kenny Chesney (#11). Church's 2014 release, The Outsiders, is also among the Top 15 titles at iTunes this morning.

Can't complain at all about that!!! Very anxious to see Carrie's increase, I'm think she'll surge way past their original predictions.
YAY for country music!
Just realized this, but the statement "Fellow Nashville Stars Church, Underwood Could Challenge Bearded Breakout for Top Spot" would seem to suggest both Carrie and Eric could sell around the 100k mark, too? No?
This week is so much better than last!!! Regardless of the outcome, this is not a top 3 I cannot complain about. Not an Eric fan, but I am a country fan and it always makes me happy to see country on top. Now if the three of them can really post the numbers they're predicting with just one day of sales, that's truly remarkable. Carrie obviously had the week, but it seems she could potentially double their original estimate.

A 4000% increase? :o Damn!
This is a swift book, but I'm sad Carrie won't get the #1.

Wow!! So so great for Chris, and super interesting as a chart-watcher too. I broke out Traveller again this morning for the first time in a few weeks (and "What Are You Listening To?" for the first time in even longer!) and it's really good - I haven't been playing it enough.
