So, if Carrie only drop 50-60% (which the CMAs should help happen) she has a great shot of moving 2-1.

Don't assume the drop will be on the lower end. If NOW 55 outperforms the prediction, I think it's quite possible that Storyteller will get blocked.

Well if she only drops around 60%, she will still be aroun 70k, which could be enough to top, and I fully expect 5SOS to fall by more than 70%.

The impact of awards shows is usually more immediate these days because of downloads and streams, so the CMAs will still help if it isn't a full week of impact. And as you can see, I said Carrie has "a great shot." Nothing you said changes that. I didn't say she was a lock.

Underwood also has James Corden and a Robin Roberts exclusive special on ABC on 11/2, the CMAs on 11/4, and the Project Runway finale on 11/5. She's definitely got promo lined up, combined with hype around the CMAs and her tour tickets going on sale on Monday. Wouldn't shock me, unless there's a surprise release.

Oo that's great promotion for Carrie, can see her getting to #1 this week then as those slots should soften her fall quite a bit.

I need the Braxtons to do some promo for their xmas album. I refuse to see it peaking in the house of the 100s (which is where it will chart this week)

Excuse me while I go to every retail store in a 30 mile radius and buy every copy of Storyteller on the shelves. Get it Carrie!

That's like 87%-89% drop in album sales for 5SOS. And 85%-87% drop in SPS.

That's why I wanted higher numbers for Carrie Underwood.

I can't believe people in the digital and streaming age still buy those NOW compilations.
Hopefully Carrie wins Female Vocalist at the CMAs and gets enough exposure to push her to the top.

Hmm. I wonder if he can sell 60k in just a few hours and sneak in a #1 debut?

His last album opened last year with 288k. One before that is double platinum I believe. If anybody in country could pull this off, it's him

^Eric Church's Chief is Platinum, but has sold 1.7 million.
I think you are thinking of Jason Aldean. The one before that is 2xP but has only sold 1.7 million.

hitsdailydouble.com/rumor_millAND THEN THERE WERE THREE11/4/15 In what may be the first surprise release from a country superstar, Eric Church dropped his new EMI Nashville album, Mr. Misunderstood, tonight during the CMA Awards. This livens things up for Friday's chart as he now becomes a contender for #1. Carrie Underwood's Storyteller (19/Arista) is aggressively priced tonight at $5.99 in another bid to take over the top spot. With NOW/UMe's Now 56 trending to 55-60k in our midweek forecast yesterday, the race for #1 seems to be wide open. Stay tuned for updates.

Chris Stapleton's Traveller is now #1 on iTunes (also sale-priced at $6.99) after a performance and three wins tonight - not for #1, but I imagine it should be in the mix for top ten too. (Good for him!!)

Chris Stapleton had sold 96,000 copies through the 11/14 Billboard charts.

Do you guys think Traveller can go no. 1 next week or the week after? Traveller has Ellie Goulding and Tim McGraw out Friday. Plus, Eric Church's first full week out. Week after is One Direction and the Biebs...
