hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=298393NEW RELEASES: EARLY READS ON ELLIE, TIM AND MORECherrytree/Interscope’s Ellie Goulding and Big Machine/BMLG’s Tim McGraw are the top new releases for this week. As we often say, take these very early numbers with a substantial grain of salt. Ellie Goulding (Cherrytree/Interscope) 40-45k album, 50-55k SPS Tim McGraw (Big Machine/BMLG) 40-45k, 45-50k Little Mix (SYCO/Columbia) 27-30k, 30-35k Old Dominion (RCA Nashville) 25-28k, 28-32k Sara Bareilles (Epic) 21-24k, 24-27k Meanwhile, RCA’s Sia is the musical guest on tonight’s SNL hosted by Donald Trump. Whether you can stand to watch the Trumper or not, you’ll probably want to tune in to see the world’s most famous incognito artist perform her new material.

Eric Church's physical release may help him hit the top this week.
On the disappointing side for Ellie Goulding unfortunately.

Oh Ellie! I thought 100k for her given the great numbers Halcyon has sold. Oh well, with right singles it might go gold in the long run, just like Halcyon did.

Traveller has Ellie Goulding and Tim McGraw out Friday. Plus, Eric Church's first full week out. Week after is One Direction and the Biebs... Ugh forgot about Eric. I don't think Ellie will be a threat but we'll see. And I was right about Ellie not being a contender for the top! Her numbers aren't that surprising for me tbh. Meh numbers for McGraw too. But there's less buzz about his new single so...

Hoping Carrie can do another 40k or so... Hopefully the CMA affect carries over for her, too.

I'm surprised little mix are selling that much. They're very UK in their marketability

I'm surprised little mix are selling that much. They're very UK in their marketability They have a small-sized fanbase in the US. Their first album did 50k first week and second album 40k first week. Plus "Black Magic" is their best performing single in the US so far.

I'm not surprised by Tim McGraw's numbers. He's a dinosaur now in the music biz.
I had no idea that Sara Bareilles had a new album out.

One Direction $9.99 (Deluxe $19.99) Justin Bieber $9.99 (Deluxe $14.99) Young Jeezy $8.99 The Beatles "1" re-issue $19.99
Best Buy:

The Sara Bareilles album are her versions of the songs she wrote for the musical waitress that isn't opening on Broadway for another 4 months. Curious timing on that one

Secondly, Top Of The World, the lead single hasn't really burned up the charts for it being the first single.

I thought Sara could maybe hit 30k. :( Why? It isn't a proper studio album, she isn't culturally relevant, and there is no promotion or (hit) singles.

Chris Stapleton will repeat at #1 on this Friday’s charts with album sales somewhere in the 85-90k range. He’ll also top our SPS chart around 110-115k. Eric Church will likely land in the runner-up position with 65-70k albums and 70-75k including tracks and streams. Here are today’s updated new release projections. Ellie Goulding (Interscope) 40-45k album sales, 47-52k SPS Tim McGraw (Big Machine/BMLG) 40-45k, 45-50k Sara Bareilles (Epic) 26-29k, 30-33k Little Mix (SYCO/Columbia) 23-26k, 28-32k Old Dominion (RCA Nashville) 21-24k, 25-28k

Very stupid decision from Church's team to release it early last week. He would've been #1 this week if released on Friday.

Very stupid decision from Church's team to release it early last week. He would've been #1 this week if released on Friday. I dont think it was that stupid. They got their money from Apple by making it iTunes exclusive digitally, and they wanted to capitalize on his appearance at the CMAs. Even if he had had a full week of sales, it still is a marked decrease of the opening of The Outsiders though.

Oh didn't remember it was an iTunes exclusive. That explains it basically.

^It's also individual digital single sales from the album. People cherry picking what they want instead of buying the whole album.
