I think "Living The Dream" is about done for his chart run as Drake is sporting a -142 bullet on MB and Drake is eligible for recurrent status and with Drake being relatively flat so far in audience I'm fairly confident Drake will be leaving in the next couple of weeks.

Really strange they wouldn't push this through the album release. Was it lighting the world on fire? Not by a longshot. But I wouldn't say it was struggling either. Just kind of surprised.
I really like Drake's style though, so I'll be awaiting his next single (and hoping it has a fiddle).

"Livin' The Dream" is certainly struggling, but with BMLG having just announced Drake's album release date for August 19, I think it's more likely that this one will rebound this week. I don't think this one is likely to make the top 20, but I think Drake can hang around for another 2 months or so and manage a peak in the mid 20's. In any case, it's pretty unlikely that a record label would announce an album release date (especially for a new artist) only to let the single flounder. Thus, I expect the Dot Records promo team to work pretty hard in reviving this one as the week goes on.

WATZ loves this one.
Is it just me, or have all three of his singles been about pretty much the same thing?

This song is struggling and badly. Drake has lost over 70 spins and over 500k in audience the past 2 days. I know his debut album is coming out soon (Next Friday, I think) but I wouldn't be shocked if this was another case where a label gives up on a song shortly before the album comes out (Kristian Bush and Gloriana's last albums being prime examples of that happening). I do think the end is soon approaching this song and I do think by the middle of September at the latest this'll be falling.

The album comes out in two weeks, so I definitely don't think we'd see a new single before the album release, but it's looking like they'll probably need to stop promotion of this one once it does come out, like what we saw with David Nail just last month.

I wasn't suggesting a new single before the album. I was just noting how much this is on life support.

True, but I just think that since that's not a possibility, they should try to fight to keep this one alive for two more weeks then so that it'll have the most airplay it can when the album drops. They'd have little to gain from giving up on this one now, but it's up to radio I guess at the end of the day if they want to humor them for two more weeks or not.

I'm starting to think that Billboard's "one grace week and then you need to re-bullet or you go recurrent" rule for songs that are 21+ weeks old isn't exactly a hard rule, but has basically become something that's up to their discretion. Meaning, they can give a song 1-2 grace weeks (or none) if they so choose, even if the 2 bullet-less weeks are consecutive.
The reason I say this is because, if it's a hard rule that says "only one grace week and then you need to re-bullet or you're done", then Billboard goofed by not sending Drake recurrent tonight. "Livin' The Dream" went bullet-less on last week's chart with a loss of 400k in audience, and Drake is bullet-less again tonight with a loss of 325k.
I could see this one just barely getting its bullet back this week and spending one more week on the chart, but I think it's just as likely (if not more so) that the bottom will fall out. Drake's album is out in 3 days...it won't matter at all if the single starts plummeting 3 days before the album release.

This song doesn't really show off Drake's pipes like "It Feels Good" but it is reasonably enjoyable.

With his album coming out this week, there's a chance he'll have a decent week this week and re-bullet like you said. Billboard may have realized that and decided to keep him on this week with this in mind, or maybe the label begged for it with this logic too. But I do agree that this rule keeps getting softer and softer throughout the years.

I missed the second song - had to go in to work, couldn't sit in the parking lot all morning. That guy is one hell of a performer!

"Livin' The Dream" finally reached the top 20 on Mediabase this week.
Can't imagine Dot Records sticking with this much longer though.

I don't know if this will last much longer. Drake White is up to #17 on MB tonight.
The problem arise in the overall lack of sales and the fact that this is 41 weeks old on the chart, I can see the label sticking it out for another month (mainly cause no one else on Dot has music ready to go, Ashley Campbell maybe, and I guess if the Zac Brown Band releases another single off Jekyll + Hyde) but I definitely think the max for this is Top 10 if I'm being honest.

Hoping this one is done so they can send the outstanding "Makin' Me Look Good Again" to radio. The Highway has been playing it and its sales are really good. It appears to be out of steam from the daily updates anyway.

Drake White should move into the BB Top 15 as William Michael Morgan and Big & Rich are both set to go recurrent. But Drake White has Brett Eldredge fast approaching and Carrie Underwood isn't too far behind either herself. I do think "Livin The Dream" has reached the end of the rope.

"Makin' Me Look Good Again" is in the top 200 All-genre on iTunes. Is it being played on Sirius or something? Great song by the way.

I really hope the label is going to give up soon. Drake White will be on Week 48 on BB tomorrow night.
I imagine radio is so sick of this song. Drake White managed to stay put at #13 again this week (Carrie Underwood passed him). If the label is gunning for the Top 10, I don't see it. Thomas Rhett is closing in fast on Drake White and Granger Smith/Maren Morris aren't too far behind Drake White himself.
I see it like this: Drake White has 2 weeks (once a song hits 50 it's essentially impossible to keep it afloat) to either score a MB Top 10 or a BB Top 10. Miranda Lambert should fall below Drake in the coming days (she's done) and Kenny Chesney & Pink will be going recurrent or fall below. That brings Drake White up to #11 on MB. So does Drake White have enough to repass Carrie Underwood and hold off Thomas/Granger/Maren or is he out of gas.
I want this song to give up but realistically the label is going to try and find a way to get that top 10 (I don't see them succeeding) Dot basically has nothing else to promote (Zac Brown Band is done with Jekyll + Hyde and Maddie & Tae won't release new music til early 2017) so I can see why they stuck it out this long. But I hope the end is very soon.

Ok this song has to be having a push for the top 10 this week. Drake White bullet is 500 as of this morning (which is larger than current songs from Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett). It's all looking a little fishy to me that Drake White is all of a sudden gaining so much when his song is 49 weeks old.

It looks like a push to the top 10, and will hopefully be gone next week.
