When "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" was released people were surprised at how much better that did in Europe than in the US. However, "Ka-Ching" took that to a whole new level, having been shunned in the US, and becoming her signature hit in several european countries.
Here are the countries it reached the top20:
#1 Portugal #2 Romania #2 Hungary #2 Austria #2 Switzerland #3 Germany #8 UK #13 Netherlands #15 France #15 Norway #17 Sweden
#2 European Hot 100.
Do you think it could've crossed over into pop?

Yes, it's one of her best singles. Love it.

Nah. Way too anti-capitalist for US markets.

Yes, I think it should have been, but I get why it wasn't.

This song is ICONIC! This definitely should've been a single.

I think it would've been a hit so I'll vote yes, but honestly, anything from Up! could've been a hit with the exception of a couple of songs.

I would have liked this song more if she had made the message some sort of metaphor. The straight-forward approach just comes across as really preachy, even though I understand what she is going for and I don't necessarily disagree with it. This is an unpopular opinion, but as a big fan of The Woman in Me and Come on Over, I find Up! (particularly the songwriting) to be significantly weaker.

Yeah, as much as I love IOHWIB, it was the wrong move. I think this would have done better.

Damn I was in Germany a long time ago. This was a staple on VIVA. I vote yes because they ate this song up in Europe.

I lived in Europe when this was out and it was huge, but I don't think it would have done that well in the US for the time. Forever & For Always would have always been the biggest hit there.

I think it would have been worth a try. Did anything from the album actually go for pop adds in the US though? There were 5 country singles (a sixth, "Nah", was scrapped, which was such a dumb move imo). "I'm Gonna Getcha Good" and "Forever And For Always" definitely got sent to AC (and I assume HotAC), but did either actually get sent to pop radio?

The song is a bit cheesy, but I love the production and it's so damn catchy, so I vote yes lol. But I also think "Nah!" shouldn't have been scrapped.
Also, wasn't "(I'm Not In the Mood) To Say No!" supposed to be a pop single at some point?
I'm a Shania stan, but I can't with some of the song titles on Up!.

Love this song. I wish she would've thrown it in the set during the RTC North American leg. IF there is the rumored 2016 European leg, maybe the song will move from instrumental to full vocal. I imagine they would replace "Come On Over" and "I Ain't No Quitter" as they were not her biggest hits over there.
