Here is the Album cover for 'You Should Be Here' as it's now on Cole's official Facebook page. THE USO is removed from the cover.

As I expected, WMN is gunning for a 3rd week at #1 on BB/2nd week at #1 on MB. There's a full-page ad of the You Shoud Be Here album cover in tonight's Country Aircheck Weekly, with text at the bottom requesting max spins this week.

Cole Swindell will be releasing 4 singles on Itunes up to the release date of the album. They are "Flatliner" featuring Dierks Bentley, "Broke Down", "Stars", and "Remember Boys" which leads me to believe one of these 4 songs could be the second single.

"Middle of a Memory" will likely be the next single.

Cole gained a whopping 835k on MB this morning, but I'd be surprised if he gains much more than that in the next 5-6 days combined (basically I'm expecting this one to level off quite a bit). What's odd is that Cole is less than 1 million ahead of Rascal Flatts on Mediabase, even though he's a full 3.5 million ahead of them on Billboard. Cole did out-gain RF by 500k in this morning's MB update, but I don't expect that trend to continue.
Chase Bryant is "powering up for #1" this week (he won't make it), but I didn't see any "power up" ads for Rascal Flatts. Cole led RF by about 1800 points on the most-recent published Mediabase chart. Still, I wonder if maybe Big Machine will do a little stealth, half-week push for RF during the 2nd half of this week in hopes of sneaking ahead of Cole on Mediabase. I'm not saying it's likely, just that it's possible. RF isn't booked to co-host CC-USA yet but that's not necessarily a requirement either. For what it's worth, Cole co-hosts this weekend, and then it's FGL on the 16th/17th, so I have to imagine that next week will be the push week for "Confession", another BMLG song. So if RF doesn't challenge for #1 this week, then they'd probably have to wait until the week beginning the 17th/18th, and I'm not sure if they'll be able to hang on that long.
In short, Cole looks very likely to score a 3rd week at #1 on Billboard, as he has a sizable lead over Rascal Flatts there, and an even bigger lead over Chase Bryant. A 2nd week at #1 on Mediabase also looks pretty likely, although I'll be keeping a close eye on Rascal Flatts. After all, we've had 1-week MB #1's/3-week BB #1's before (Tim McGraw's "One Of Those Nights" and Joe Nichols' "Yeah" come to mind).

"Flatliner" is essentially "Sideways Pt. 2". I think most here will hate it lol

I always thought of 5-1-5-0 when hearing this but Sideways rings true also. Regardless, it's a smash even though it will probably never be a single. This album is gonna be ridiculously good.

I hope you're right. I'm so mad that Cole had to record that "Flatliner" song. It's terrible and not worth putting on an album. There better be more serious stuff on there. Cole needs to prove that he wants to have a big career by showcasing his voice, instead of singing about beer, trucks, and girls all the damn time. He hooked me in with "You Should Be Here" and now he needs to prove that he can sing lots of other serious songs as well.

"Flatliner" isn't good . So sloppily produced, Cole's voice sounds very grating and I for sure don't find any of the lyrics funny or clever. I find them more leering than anything. Also that god awful spoken word bridge . I'm definitely not looking forward to this album but I've yet to hear an album truly worth taking down. Cole might do it if Flatliner is any indication of what the album has in store.

Everybody better brace themselves because you can bet your live savings the second single is going to be light-hearted uptempo fluff. No way in hell Cole follows up a sad lead single ballad with something serious, especially heading into the summer months.

No way in hell Cole follows up a sad lead single ballad with something serious, especially heading into the summer months. I think most people accept that this is the typical cycle. And there's nothing wrong with lighthearted fluff, as many have noted before. The problem with lighthearted fluff is when it's done poorly, as is the case with many fluff songs lately. I don't think we need to worry about Flatliner being released as a single, though, since Cole and Dierks are on rival labels and will be on roughly the same single schedule through their respective eras. I suppose it could get thrown out last, but I'd be surprised if it was.

Is this going to be #1 on Billboard for a 3rd week? Or will Rascal Flatts be able to pass him?

Against my better judgment, I listened to "Flatliner". Given the involvement of Cole Swindell, I'm unsurprised that the lyrics are a pile of creepy and trite idiocies, but holy crap at the AutoTune on Cole Swindell's voice. Look, I don't expect everyone to be a Chris Stapleton. There are artists like Eric Church who often struggle with pitch live, so the fact that Cole Swindell struggles so much to stay in tune is not necessarily a disqualifier. But I usually still find Eric to be an effective vocalist because of his phrasing -- he knows how to put over a lyric in a believable and distinctive way. I don't think I've heard a major label singer more clumsy and stilted in his delivery than Cole Swindell, and maybe "Flatliner" makes me more intensely aware of this because of how amateurish Cole sounds next to Dierks. For a voice-first listener like me, it's just distractingly bad.

I think half the people in my hometown have better voices than Cole Swindell. Honestly, Cole is probably my least favorite vocalist in country music in the last 10 years, maybe even of all time. I'm sure I could probably come up with some vocalists who I like less, but I'm drawing a blank right now. "You Should Be Here" has gone from a song that was "it's the best thing Cole's done, but it's still only okay at best" to an instant station-changer. I just can't stand to listen to Cole.

This format has been overrun with a slew of abysmal male vocalists in recent years, a stark contrast to a ton of female newcomers with exquisite voices galore who can't get much-deserved airplay of substantially superior material.
Downright infuriating if you ask me.

Not going to start a thread yet for it but I think it's worth mentioning. Last night, when I was listening to certain Music Choice channels, I flipped over to 'Today's Country' and guess what was playing--- "Flatliner" with Cole Swindell & Dierks Bentley. I am saying this, as Music Choice rarely ever plays songs on there that aren't singles, a few years ago. I remember hearing "Mine Would Be You" back in 2013 right after "Boys Round Here" by Blake Shelton had done and peaked and remember before it was declared the next single. It had already starting getting airplay on Music Choice, so "Flatliner" could be the follow up to "You Should Be Here".

Flatliners is pretty awful. Stars on the other hand is awesome. Undeniably catchy, would love if it was the next single

"Broke Down" is available on iTunes, and its sounds like a hit to my ears. Nice play on words too. I think this is going to be another big era for Cole.

I really wonder if country music is going to get a clue about the biggest songs of the year so far being ballads and pretty far from most of what is now coming out of Nashville. This song is catchy enough and about a subject that is a genuine country trope that hasn't been used in a long time by a larger artist. Cole's voice is rather weak, but it works with how the song is written so I can get over it. All kidding aside, Thomas Rhett and Cole Swindell aren't the most country singers on the radio today, but they are releasing easy on the ears songs and reserving most of their controversial pop music to album tracks and itunes. It's a perfect fit right now for me personally.

Of the songs that are available to listen to, Cole is 4/5 for me. Flatliner I haven't even got all the way through it's so rough. "Remember Boys" was a nice little shock I didn't expect, "Stars", "You Should Be Here", and "Broke Down" are awesome imo.
