While it's easy to say "What Do You Mean?" is the bigger hit from Purpose, a solid case could be made that "Sorry" is bigger. What do you think?
In addition, "Love Yourself" is shaping up to be just as big if not bigger than the first two singles. Will that be the album's biggest hit? Or will a future single come in and slay them all? Or has the era had its peak already?
Answer both questions.

Good question. I can easily say Sorry is the bigger of the two so far. Let's take a look at the two's statistics: WDYM? got the #1 debut on the board, but easily fell afterwards in Week #2. It spent only 8 weeks in the top 3 and was looking to begin its downfall early after ranking at #6 in its 11th week. What helped it last almost 20 weeks so far in the Top 10 was the release of Purpose. Looking at Sorry, it was the same story: High debut at #2, two position drop in week #2. But the difference was that it went back up to #2 a few weeks later and has stayed strong up there ever since. It even still has the chance to dethrone Hello for a week. It's only 10 weeks old and the lowest it's gone to was #4. This being said, I think this will last in the Top 3 into January and then have a quicker fall than WDYM? out of the top 10 because of its Top 3 longevity and the fact that this won't benefit from the album drop just like WDYM?.
Looking at Love Yourself, this is only 7 weeks old and this debuted at #4 without even being a single and fell only down to #7 in week #2. I don't know if Ed Sheeran had the biggest influence on this, but considering his 'x' era just ended, I think it's safe to say so. It's still building well into its 7th week on the Hot 100 and, unless Adele releases something unexpectedly to help WWWY (just like she did for Hello to prevent Sorry from reigning supreme for all that time), this should easily move up to #1 on the Hot 100 very soon. I can see a Top 2 deadlock b/t WWWY and LY in the future just like Sorry and Hello did throughout Nov, Dec, and Jan. This being said, LY will be the biggest hit from Purpose.

"Sorry" feels like the bigger hit of the two, but I think a case could be made for both of them.
I actually think "Love Yourself" could go on to top the first two singles. It received a strong initial reaction and it seems to be resonating amongst people that aren't typical JB fans.

"Sorry" feels a little bigger, and I think it's because of a combination of the hook lending itself well to pop culture better ("Is it too late to be sorry?" is a very usable phrase) and it seems like the more accessible party jam of the first two singles. Idk if "Love Yourself" will surpass it or not but it's definitely doing really well and it has a pretty different vibe, so who knows. I'm just glad he's slaying with this era though.

"Love Yourself" is a classic. Such great song. Lyrics many can relate to, insanely catching hook and brilliant production. Masterpiece. This is the first JB song I've ever loved. The first two singles were actually really good too. Im going to have to give this album a proper listen through. Great job Biebs. I love an underdog.

i really don't know. A case can be made for all 3. Sorry seems like the bigger hit, but WDYM was the game-changer single that just won't die. And Love Yourself is positioned to be Top 5 year-end.
Deep down, I think "Life is Worth Living" can be just as big as those 3 if the timing is right.
