Heard this on the radio the other day and really enjoyed it. Don't remember anything about it so I'll obviously need to listen to it more, but I did like what I heard, lol.

I agree--'this is easily among the best and most listenable songs on the radio, and I also expect a verrrryyyyy long chart run over the course of the rest of 2016.

"21 Summer" will be at #30 tonight on MB, which means Brothers Osborne are getting Country Countdown USA and American County Countdown spins in the coming weeks which will really help this song out.
I find it funny how much of a gap there is between Brothers Osborne and the next highest song Cole Swindell. Hopefully Brothers Osborne will manage to stay in the Top 30, as it'll be two weeks from today we will see another song going recurrent ("Wasted Time").
I have "21 Summer" coming anywhere from #30 to #32 depending if they can hold off Old Dominion and Maren Morris (all are projected at a little over 5 million audience on BB) so this song is hanging in there but it's definitely been a slow go at it.

This has been on The Highway for nearly forever, so it's kind of surprising to see this just starting its chart climb into the 30s. I really enjoy the song and is one that took awhile to get into, but it's burned into my head now. I really hope it catches on and pushes towards the top.

It doesn't get much better than this song on a late summer night, driving with the window down.

It's definitely among the half dozen or so best songs on CT40 right now, and I hope it goes much higher over the next few months.

I find it funny how much of a gap there is between Brothers Osborne and the next highest song Cole Swindell. That gap is the cutoff between songs that are getting top 30 countdown spins and songs that aren't. A lot of stations wait until a song makes it onto the countdown shows before they'll add it. The gap is unusually big right now, but a big gap like this (right around the #30 spot, depending on who's in the MB top 30 and who isn't) isn't unprecedented.

Glad the song is finally on top 30! I hope the radios start to play more and more, it's such a great song.

Looks like 21 Summer is no longer top 30 while I was checking the Mediabase chart today...

Looks like 21 Summer is no longer top 30 while I was checking the Mediabase chart today... It swapped spots with "If The Boot Fits." It's at #31 on the rolling chart. It's not done, don't worry. Granger's song barely edged Brothers Osborne out in the rolling chart update this morning.

I'm so glad they made a music video for this! I really loved the video... it did capture the song (or at least the visual I had in mind for the song LOL) very well. Some shots looked a bit too dark (and hard to see) but the overall product it's great. I'm not sure I got the ending right though... was she a hooker?

I'm perplexed by this one's struggles to climb faster. It's been out since February and has just now cracked the top 30 on Mediabase. What's even stranger is National Callout. "21 Summer" ranked dead last on both Bullseye and Mediabase callout of the top qualified songs, last week. This week, it rebounded to #31 in total positive score on Bullseye and fell out of the top 30 all together on Mediabase's. I hate the sample size of the National research but it still leaves me scratching my head. Then there's radio airplay. Look at the rolling chart today. "21 Summer" has roughly the same spin totals as the songs directly in front of it, yet they're all blowing Brothers Osborne out of the water in audience totals. Heck, Brothers Osborne has over 300 more spins than Tim's song, yet Tim has 3.0 million more in audience (and yes, I know superstars get bumped to better rotation quicker). That means this song is getting little help from daytime and market size spins. It would be worse if KKBQ wasn't the top spinner over the past seven days, accumulating 1.1 million in total audience. The other top spin leaders for this one include Akron, Long Island, Oklahoma City, Palm Springs, Gainesville, Roanoke, Norfolk, Albany, Visalia-Tulare, Appleton and Wichita... The fact "If The Boot Fits" has passed and cleared "21 Summer" is asinine. Like, I literally can't wrap my mind around stations collectively saying "that Granger Smith single is more desired from our listening audience than "21 Summer."" ...and yes, the "935" in Granger's column is his iTunes all-genre chart ranking but sales aren't everything, right?

When I first heard this song I thought it would be a smash hit. I still think it sounds like a smash hit. And while I don't think it's doing too bad at radio, I'm absolutely shocked that it's been researching rather poorly. That just doesn't even seem possible to me.
The sales have been average to slightly above average, I'd say, and I still think this one has time to take off and endure a long climb. But I'm not nearly as confident as I was this spring. If this doesn't go top 10, it'll be the most surprised I've been about a song not becoming a hit since probably Dierks Bentley's "Bourbon In Kentucky" or Greg Bates' "Fill In The Blank". Granted, those two songs didn't even make the top 40 while "21 Summer" looks like it'll at least peak somewhere in the 20s, but still.

Wow, this was sent recurrent on Billboard tonight. I know it had a small audience loss last week but I assumed it would recover this week. I haven't paid too much attention to the chart in the past week but did this one suffer a big loss? I hope this has a chance to re-enter next week. This song is too good to peak in the low 20s

But it went bulletless last week on BB and last week was Week 30 so it had to get it's bullet back or otherwise it would be sent recurrent. I don't know if I really want this to keep going only cause well radio seems just not willing to move it up much higher, I mean I do like the song a lot but I doubt that even if this re enters next week it'll make much more progress.

I think this song was just too radical sounding to make a dent on the country charts these days. It had a big throwback feel to it, and the chorus, while catchy, wasn't a huge hook driven one with easy to remember lyrics. Basically, I don't think this song was dumbed down enough to fit in on the country charts.

This song does not work for me.
"That night when you slipped off those cut-off jeans" kills the song, as well as "made a man of me."
Not appealing.

Always felt like they should have released American Crazy before this one.

I think A.) it's too short and B.) this is a rehash of Springsteen basically. A good song but sounds just like the EC smash.

I'd be surprised if the label was off this. The next couple of days should tell us whether it'll rebound or whether it's done for good.
This isn't turning out to be the smash hit that I hoped it would be, but I still think there's potential for it to climb higher and be at least a top 20 hit. In a perfect world, this would be a multi-week #1.

"21 Summer" re enters on BB at #27! It still has a way before the Top 20, but I imagine a lot of people are happy to see this back.

21 Summer was at 22 on Mediabase and now it's not there at all. Can't even request it. I really wanted that one to do well. Those two are so talented. Does anyone know what happened?

I believe Bob Kingsley stated yesterday that this standout song has been on CT40 for 15 weeks.
Another very disappointing chart run for one of my very favorite singles of 2016 frrom a wonderful CD.
