Released in 1975 and included as one of the new studio recordings on their live album Gratitude. Peaked at #39 on the Hot 100 and #11 on Billboard's Soul Singles chart.
Despite not being a major hit upon initial release, this is definitely one of their best known songs now (especially among R&B crowds). It's been covered and sampled dozens of times.
It's a little known fact that this was actual a cover of a song by Creative Source that was released a couple years earlier. Maurice White completely transformed it.
This may be my favorite by EWF.
