Did this guy just call NWA a 1 hit wonder? they have lots of hits in early 90s.
Also Skrillex aka Jack U has a top 40 hit right now.

Craig Wayne Boyd - No. Just a forgotten Voice star. Mark Ronson - I doubt it. But he'll still be around as a producer. Milky Chance - Nope. Ella Henderson - Sadly, no. Alesso - Maybe. He had one minor hit but he's big enough in Europe that he can keep his name out there. Lily Wood and The Prick - Nope. Theophilus London - Nope. Allan Kingdom - Nope. Lookas - Nope. Natalie La Rose - Unikely, unless she can have a Posner-esque revival. Walk The Moon - Unlikely, though they'll be fine on alternative radio. T-Wayne - No. He was a novelty flash-in-the-pan. George Ezra - He's a good singer, but I don't see another hit for him here. Saweyer Fredericks - Nope. See Craig. Andy Grammer - Maybe, but I wouldn't bet on it. AlunaGeorge - Doubtful. Silentó - No. OMI - No. He screams "one-hit wonder". Monty - Only way he can get another hit is via another Fetty feature. Dove Cameron - Unikely. She's a B-list Disney star not even on Zendaya's level. Booboo Stewart - No. He's an actor, not a singer. Sofia Carson - Maybe, but her original song didn't do so well. Cameron Boyce - No. He's not really pursuing a singing career AFAIK. R. City - Unlikely, as their only hit was because of Adam Levine, they're toast without him. Remy Boyz - See Monty. Eric Nally - No. He's most likely staying with his band and I can't imagine them getting a pop hit either. Melle Mel - No. He's well past his prime. Grandmaster Caz - Same as Melle. Hailee Steinfeld - She'll be around for a long time as an actress, but I'm not expecting another pop hit. ILoveMemphis - No. Yet another Vine novelty. Elle King - Right now, the only possible hit I see for her is her duet with Dierks Bentley. Chris Stapleton - Yeah, he could definitely have one in the future if country radio accepts him, although not with his current album. Travi$ Scott - Yes, he could easily get another hit in the future. He's very popular and his album sold well.

...nope, you're still wrong. 'Like I Would' may be down for the count but the other two aren't. Have a seat. Still waiting for Zayn, DNCE and Zara to get second hits.

I listened to American Top 40 over the weekend and thought of this thread.
At #18 dropping one was Tootbrush by DNCE #28 moving up 2 was Mama Said by Lukas Graham
A top 20 and top 30 AT40 chart entry are not considered hits by people in this thread.
The irony is that AT40 was the original basis for the whole one-hit wonder thing in the first place. :o

I don't think that Desiigner will ever have another top 10 hit but I see him sticking around in top 40 with some songs in the future. I feel like he will be percieved as a one hit wonder.
I don't think DNCE will have any more hits, it feels unlikely. Joe Jonas maybe will have a solo career but at this point it might as well flop very hard.
Kent Jones is a one hit wonder. Too generic to be anything more.
Lukas Graham will never have another US hit, they might stick around in Europe.
I don't think we will ever hear from Rozes again.
It's hard to speculate about Zayn. If I had to make a bold prediction I'd say that he will eventually have another hit, but it will rather be a fluke than a smash. He will have to face competition from other One Direction members going solo.

"Mama Said" is currently rising up the Hot 100, so it's looking like Lukas Graham has a decent shot at avoiding one hit wonder status. The jury's still out on them staying relevant beyond 2016 tho.

Kungs & Cookin On 3 Burners are definitely entering Top 40 next week Possible chance Kehlani could enter into the top 40 with Gangsta (I hope it happens cause she is amazing and the song it at 43 right now, so damn close) Other than that, if In the Name Of Love (debuted at 93) manages to enter the top 40 It will remove Martin Garrix from OHW status and give Bebe her first hit in which she has a lead credit instead of a feature.

LOL that on page 15 we are still working on the definition. So reading through this it appears you guys count featured artists with a hit if it is their first one but a featured artist on hit #2 is still a one hit wonder? I practice the as long is Artist A is credited (as a lead or a feature doesn't matter) for a top 40 hit, then it counts.

Here's our list of last years one hit wonders. Do you think any of them have the potential to get another hit thus breaking out of the OHW zone? Craig Wayne Boyd---Probably not Mark Ronson---Maybe as a feature (he did some of Amy Winehouse's hits), but not as an artist. Milky Chance---Too far out of the mainstream to strike again. Ella Henderson---Maybe with the first single of her next album? Alesso---Put him down as a possibly. All he needs is the right artist and hit number 2 could happen. Lily Wood and The Prick---Unless they got another album brewing, I doubt it. Theophilus London---I thought he was just a pseudonym for Kanye Allan Kingdom---Pretty much doubt it. Lookas---Had to look him up, not a good sign for an artist best known for Going Down For Real. Natalie La Rose---Probably as a feature, not a lead. #JusticeForAroundTheWorld Walk The Moon---Definitely not another Shut Up and Dance smash, but I could see them in the 20s with their first single off the next album. T-Wayne---When Sophia Grace outraps you, then I wouldn't bother. George Ezra---I like to think he will. Youth is on his side at least. Sawyer Fredericks---Perhaps he could be America's answer to James Bay? Probably not. Andy Grammer---Since he writes his own material, I'll lean towards yes. AlunaGeorge---My gut says no. Silentó---I'll go with yes although I don't think he hits top 3 again. #SilentoIsTheNewSouljaBoy OMI---I think he could hit top 10 again for another summer song. Monty---Depends on how close he is with Fetty Wap. Dove Cameron---Let It Go. Booboo Stewart---See Dove. Sofia Carson---See Dove. Cameron Boyce---See Dove. R. City---They can't even decide on their own name, so I don't think they rock out another top 40. Remy Boyz---See Monty. Eric Nally---More likely to breakout than the other stars of Downtown. Too bad rock is still underrepresented right now in the Hot 100. Melle Mel---Enjoy his run. Grandmaster Caz---See Melle Mel. Hailee Steinfeld---Depends if she's more interested in music or acting. I think movies will win out. ILoveMemphis---My Magic 8 Ball says No Chance, That's What You Got... Elle King---I'd like to think so. I don't think it'll be larger than Ex's and Oh's, but she'll chart again. Chris Stapleton---I could see him doing it as part of a duet. Maybe with Carrie Underwood? Travi$ Scott---If he releases another single, I think he could make it. Dropouts: Jack Ü Major Lazer Rachel Platten O.T. Genasis Updated predictions.

Cookin' on 2 Burners did the original version of the song, and Kungs remixed it

Right now I am 100% sure that Kungs will be a one hit wonder and this remix will not launch his career or anything.

While Kungs remixed it, both are credited as artists so they count. Similar to how Cedric Gervais was credited as an artists for his remix of Summertime Sadness. It's kind of tricky, because Felix Jaehn and SeeB weren't credited as artists for their remix and thus avoid the technical OHW tag despite their remixes being the reason they became hits. Also, Kylie doesn't count I don't think because she wasn't credited. Similarly, Aloe Blacc is a OHW but not for Avicii's Wake Me Up but for the much lesser remembered The Man.

Meghan Trainor had a strong presence, but you can't see anything behind "This girl". Music video is pretty much a stock footage. Even credit will make people confused, "Kungs vs Cookin On 3 Burners". Who remixed it, Kungs or Cookin on 3 Burners? Nobody even cares. Ok, maybe he will have more hits in Europe because he does remind me of other boring DJs like Sigala or Robin Schulz, but there is no way he will have more hits in the US.

Everyone was so certain she would never have another hit and look what happened. She didn't just score a quick followup hit with minimal legacy (think Carly, Lorde) but she actually managed to establish herself as a legitimate hitmaker.
