Kill me all you want for saying this, but musically this reminds me of "Burn It to the Ground" by Nickelback.

Instrumentally, "Burn It to the Ground" isn't bad.

For the record, I actually think Burn It to the Ground is one of Nickelback's better songs (though that doesn't say much). I actually can get into some of their more recent heavier stuff -- Burn It to the Ground, Edge of a Revolution, This Means War, and Get Em Up are all actually good songs.

I personally don't completely understand the hate or how it's cool to hate Nickelback. I could do without a few of their songs like "S.E.X.," "The Next Contestant," etc, but overall I think they're a talented band. "Leader of Men" and "Follow You Home" I can listen to any day.

I don't understand how Nickelback gets ripped for allegedly making the same song over and over again (which is completely false), but someone like Pitbull can release the same song about sex/partying/etc and not get any flack (for the record I'm not hating on Pitbull,l but cmon, Nickelback has way more talent). Every single from All The Right Reasons is better than 99% of the Pop song playlists these days.

Pretty sure Nickelback and Pitbull both get a lot of flack. Rightfully so, Chad Kroeger's voices makes me want to jump off a bridge.
In other more Volbeat related news, that was pretty quick. I'm still not feeling this song though it just sounds so by-the-numbers and that scares me.
PS: At least Nickelback isn't viewed as unfavorably as Donald Trump

I bet Volbeat could pull off a country song if they put their minds to it.

I bet Volbeat could pull off a country song if they put their minds to it. They already have a few that are basically like a heavier country song -- Lone Rider for example, so that really doesn't sound too unbelievable.

That'll be the next trend: more country musicians coming from Europe and Australia. Keith Urban started it all.

Honestly, I don't mind a little bit of "bro" country, because most of those songs are about having a good time, but without much of the obnoxious, over-the-top hedonism of hip-hop and other genres.

You don't need to look at Pitbull, look at most of the stuff Foo Fighters has been releasing for the past...10 years. But heck , Dave Grohl is a cool guy (and he was in Nirvana), therefore Foo Fighters gets a pass for people who don't usually like this kind of music (which can explain their continued alt success).

I just think it's a stupid reason to dislike a band. Not every band is going to push the artistic envelope; in fact, most don't. But that doesn't make them inferior musicians. For that matter, has anybody complaining about Nickelback's misogynistic lyrics listened to a single rap album in the last 25 years? Nickelback are angels compared to most rappers. Yeah, everybody hates Nickelback, which is why they've sold 50,000,000 albums worldwide.

I'd rather that; than a band pulling 360 degrees turns, on every album. Anyway, I really like the new Volbeat video. Thumbs up.

I don't have a problem with bands that have a familiar sound to most of their songs. If enough people like the sound, then why mess with success? As for the 50,000,000 albums sold, I was illustrating the absurdity of people who hate Nickelback proclaiming that everybody hates them. If everybody did, then they would never have sold so many albums. I've never had a problem at all with Nickelback, honestly. In fact, many of their songs make me reminisce about good times with friends I made during my college years, and many of the road trips I took with them when the band was at its zenith in popularity.

The album is really good. "The Bliss" needs to be a single, and I'd imagine it has a good chance for single #2. I'd also like to see "Battleship Chains" and "Mary Jane Kelly" be singles at some point too.

Yeah. I really liked the album as well. I think it's my favorite out of the few. A lot of possible future singles on there.

"The Bliss" is essentially Lola Montez part 2, but that's not a bad thing because I really liked Lola Montez. Wouldn't mind if it's the next single.
Here's the Danish version:
