Absolutely love this. The melody is addictive and it will sound great heading into Fall (yes I know we are heading into Summer but we probably won't be hearing this a lot until the Fall lol). I hope this can at least outpeak "Fish".

Damn I like the song, but it's one of my least favorites on a fantastic album. And it's very similar in style to "Girl In A Country Song" and "Shut Up And Fish", and if the latter didn't do too well, I doubt this will. This is just gonna get negative callout again from the same demographics that hated those. "Waitin' On A Plane" or "Downside Of Growing Up" would've been a nice change of pace and are probably less likely to be polarizing. They've also had much lower burn rates for me.

Wow! Did not see this coming. Arguably this should have been a single sooner. Excited to see how it performs!

This one isn't quite as 90's country sounding, so perhaps it could stand a better chance than "Shut Up And Fish", but I remain very skeptical. They have very little momentum right now and the charts are a bloodbath. Even established Male singers are struggling right now with their recent singles (Easton Corbin, Billy Currington, Randy Houser has a very slow start, etc.). I still think the better move would be to wait until mid-late summer and release something fresh and slightly more modern sounding. Who knows though, maybe this could suddenly be a gem like some other unexpected singles recently.

I like this song a lot and it's definitely one of the stronger choices off the album for a fourth single (they definitely are doing the right thing by avoiding a ballad), but more digestible songs like "Waitin' on a Plane" (my personal favorite) or "No Place Like You" would've been a better option at this point, imo. I agree with some of the other posts above that I could see this being a little polarizing again. I thought SUAF was #1 bound from the minute it was announced, so naturally now I'm just a bit skeptical, but I do hope this one does well and can at least notch them another Top 20 peak this fall.

Love this, but I would rather "Smoke" be a single and it's probably unlikely if this goes the same way as SU&F.

Meh, "Sierra" is probably my least favorite song on the album and find this to be a disappointing release. If they were going with a fourth single, I would've much preferred to hear something like "Downside of Growing Up" on the radio waves.

I think "Sierra" is excellent and it could very well be my favorite from the album. Also, it's wonderful to hear fiddle and steel guitar in a song. Obviously, that's something that is severely lacking in country music today, especially in songs that end up on country radio. For those reasons alone, I am thrilled that this is getting a release, even if my expectations for this performing well are low. I would give anything to be wrong, though.

I like this, but it's not my favorite on the album. Hopefully it's grows on me. I would've chosen "downside" or "no place" tho with graduation (i graduate in 5 weeks) and summer around the corner.

The "Waitin' on a Plane" rumors got me very excited since I like that one better. I could see "Sierra" being polarizing.

Really surprised at this but totally thrilled! This has been one of mt favorites since the EP.
If the twangy sass worked for Miranda Lambert and for the girls in their debut single, I don't see why it won't work here.

I like this too (no where near the amount of "Shut Up And Fish," though) and hope it does well. But I'm not holding my breath.

I echo a lot of sentiments here. This has been among my favorite M&T songs since the first time I heard it (which I now realize was like 2 years ago, wow), but I really worry they're going to get pigeonholed as "mean girls" which is the exact opposite of what they are and what their intention is which each of these songs. I'll be rooting for it, but I would have rather seen them go with No Place Like You or Smoke.

Boo, I like this but I was so ready for Waiting' On A Plane, which is one of my favorite. I cannot see this doing much on the charts unfortunately.

Plus, a bigger change in style seemed to be in order after the failure of Shut Up And Fish. Waitin' On a Plane would've accomplished that, even if I like Sierra better, but I was really hoping for Downside of Growing Up. Honestly though, I don't know why they didn't just take a break and come back with a new single. I'm not sure how far along they are with writing a new record, but I don't see this advancing their momentum much.

Eh, this song has more melody and character than "Shut Up and Fish". For as much as I loved that one, I think it was hard to digest for a lot of people and it had a high burn rate, even for me.
All ya'll were proclaiming smash #1 when SUAF was released so if ya'll think this one will struggle, maybe that's a good thing.
It doesn't seem like radio puts as much stock in momentum as we think. If a song is testing well and their listeners are requesting it, they'll play it.

This is just for LoLz. Having a conversation with the radio DJ playing "Sierra" and the artist chimes in... Made my day. Had to laugh hard.

Love this song (well, love the whole album LOL), but I don't know... after "Shut Up and Fish" flopping, I'm not very confident this could do much better. I hope I'm really wrong about this!

I was also getting very stoked for a "Waitin' On a Plane" radio release, but I'm okay with this choice. I'm not too concerned about them being pigeon-holed into the "mean girls" persona since "Fly" became a decent sized hit last year. I think a top 20 peak shouldn't be too much to ask for here.

I love love love this song, but I wish this was released as the 3rd single (or 2nd) instead. I liked "Shut Up and Fish" a lot, but I enjoy this one much more and I agree with what many of you have said that this being another sassy song could have the same potential negative feedback that SUAF got. I could honestly see this doing really well and get a top 20 peak, or fizzling out outside of the top 30. I'm hoping for the former, but I think its really up in the air on how radio receives this.

I'm surprised a lot of people wanted "Waitin' On A Plane" to be the fourth single. I really like the song, but it never stood out to me as one of the more memorable tracks on the album. It also has the fewest Spotify streams of any song on their debut album, for what it's worth.
As for "Sierra", it would not have been my choice. I'm not too worried about them being pigeon-holed as the 'sassy girl duo,' but I can see it being a little polarizing just like "Shut Up And Fish" was. I love the song but it isn't the smartest choice in my opinion. "No Place Like You", "Your Side Of Town", and "Downside Of Growing Up" all seemed liked better options to me.

I actually like this a lot, but I'm wondering if something like "Downside Of Growing Up" should have been the single, so as not to pigeon-hole them, as others have said. Even though they may achieve similar peaks, a difference in sound may do more for them overall. Still, I do like this, and I wish it the best.

I love this song, but I imagine it's going to be hard to get another top 10 with this one. They have been playing some new material (youtube.com/watch?v=HoiWoB-DmIY), so this might be the last single to keep some momentum before they release a new lead single.

That cover art is beautiful. Maddie & Tae are perfection, just love this song so much. I have a nagging feeling that it'll be too polarizing but I do think radio still loves these girls so I'm definitely excited for this.

Such gorgeous girls. Keeping my fingers crossed as this has been one of my favorites since the EP. I'm hoping this can be a seller too.
