I kinda feel bad for all the grouchy old Timberlake haters who own a radio right now. I like to believe they're being punished for their sins.
The celebrity endorsements in that video were a nice touch.

Unsurprisingly bad. Fingers crossed that it's just for the film and that his album won't sound like this.

I liked this upon first listen, too .... I'm not a huge JT fan but this will do well for him.

I swear the beginning is identical to Justin Bieber's Beauty And A Beat.

This is Nick Jonas' worst single. I will stay angry at radio if this doesn't pull a Meghan Trainor "No" in six weeks. Wrong thread? Nope.

So this is his version of Happy? From an animated movie, same theme, general sound, etc.
I like it for now, but similarly to Happy, I imagine I'll hate it in a few weeks.

it's from an animated movie - so it's exactly what I expected. like happy, it doesn't really make me feel any specific type of way. it just is what it is and i'm sure it'll make a lot of people happy and wanna dance. should do fairly well on radio - i would think.

I love how carefree this is. This song could have been recorded by Maroon 5 and it would have sounded exactly the same lol

I Gotta A Feeling, Happy, and Blurred Lines rolled up into one. There are songs that take time to get used to, this is not one of them. Love it.

While I was listening to this and reading your comment I thought for a split sec it was Maroon 5. LoL I like this it's fun and I don't care if there's a little MJ/Maroon 5 feel to it. It reminds me of "Take Back The Night mixed with Maroon 5's "Sugar" and I also want to sing the line from No Doubt's "Hella Good" (keep on dancing) everytime he says the word dancing in the chorus. lol It sounds watered down for him but I like it.

Really like this - a feel good summery song. Should do really well and I think it'll debut top 10 on the Hot 100.

That massive lead in iTunes tho.
This is okay, at first listen. A nice upbeat pop song that will do well in summer.

This is a good song. How can some people not like this? This is typical Justin Timberlake.

Heard this on the radio last night after getting out of the movies and my first thought was this sounded like a family friendly version of "Can't Feel My Face." The people seething better get ready because this is vying to be Song of the Summer.

Listening to this again it's grown on me a bit. If this was to come on the radio I wouldn't turn it off, but I wouldn't turn it on by myself. I actually kind of wish Maroon 5 performed it lol.

The JT I prefer is not this la-dee-da-let's-go-to-playland-and-have-a-happy-meal... there's more to him than pandering this heavily to the rated G audience. He got the "i'm a dad now so i need to make a big kids movie song" syndrome. typical. it's all good though.

Anyway, keeping this thread moving: do we know who produced this?

Produced by Justin Timberlake, Max Martin and Shellbackjustintimberlake.com/news/274733-- Is Justin Timberlake’s ‘Can’t Stop the Feeling’ the Next ‘Happy?’ Pharrell's 2013 hit won two Grammys and netted an original song Oscar nomination.Early on in the awards season that year, it was clear Williams’ jam was a catchy pop culture hit. But when Universal began pitching it for Oscar consideration, mailing 45s out to press and setting up live events, I admit I sort of scoffed. Boy was I wrong. (“Happy” may have even given eventual winner “Let It Go” a run for its money.) It’s notable that Timberlake doesn’t only offer this peppy tune and a lead voice performance on “Trolls.” He also serves as the Executive Music Producer, contributing another three original songs to the album and working closely with the rest of the actors on performances. “He has cast his producing magic on most of the tracks,” producer Gina Shay says. So this could be an original song Oscar player in the making. Make no mistake, whoever is tapped to produce the 89th Academy Awards would be thrilled at the prospect of Timberlake performing on the show — a ratings boost for a telecast that is constantly craving more viewership.

so he does have multiple contributions to the soundtrack. now it makes even more sense they are releasing this now for the summer... leaving 3 more songs (from him, let alone more from other artists) as potential singles closer to the movie's release.
well played.

It's going to take more than some random poll to convince me that millennials paid more attention to Justin Timberlake than Taylor Swift or Drake last year.
