This is definitely a generic, inoffensive, paint by numbers song. It's sort of just there for me, which is how I've felt about basically every JT song after FutureSex/LoveSongs.

I actually find it offensively bad. From someone who used to be on the cutting edge of music, running to Max Martin and producing this Bruno Mars/Maroon 5 c-side is so lazy. It's a shame because his first two albums are truly excellent.

Meh, it's a cute soundtrack song. Nothing special.
Meanwhile, this has pushed One Dance down to 0.23 on iTunes pop bars.

I kinda feel bad for all the grouchy old Timberlake haters who own a radio right now. Says the old grouch who still buys physical CD's and assumes JT is what the "young ones" listen to. :kii: Please stop bullying physical CDs buyers, there's nothing wrong with that

Glass houses and all...

SMASH! Good for Justin. I want more edgy stuff on his album but I still think this is a great lil' summer song.

Heard it once this morning. I found it so generic. It's as if I had heard it already dozens of times by other people. It's Justin so I guess it'll be a hit and I may end up liking it a bit more. For now, I'm not really impressed.

It's a shame because his first two albums are truly excellent. it's from an animated kids film. there's only so much creative liberties one can take with big-budget soundtrack songs (and the studios that have to approve it) and must appeal to a large amount of people (mostly young kids) worldwide. it's fairly generic, for sure, and does nothing much for me... but it sounds like you're expecting studio album creativity from him on a soundtrack song to a kid's movie.

THE PERMANENT WEDDING AND BAR MITZVAH PLAYLISTYou know one when you hear it: A song that’s not just headed for #1, not just a sales, airplay and streaming monster, but one that’s going to be around forever.By forever, we mean it will be used henceforth to get people pumped at social gatherings—they’ll be go-to selections for DJs at weddings, bar mitzvahs, proms and kindred confabs, galvanizing folks of all ages, genders, ethnicities and orientations to flood the dance floor, despite the logistical challenges of boogieing in a floor-length gown or rented tux. That’s what we thought the moment we heard Justin Timberlake’s new Trolls track, “Can’t Fight the Feeling” (RCA). It’s a big, joyous groove that brings the heady delights of disco and Michael Jackson into the present. It's currently #1 at iTunes, and it'll be spinning at benchmark celebrations henceforth.

This really reminds me of P!nk's new single in that they literally sound like what the songs look like on paper -- Soundtrack songs from animated movies done with Max Martin. Like, they didn't even try to add anything unique or specific to them or anything. They just covered the bare minimum and stopped.
I will say that this does sound good on the radio. They premiered it at the perfect time.

I hate the thought notion that songs from kids movies need to basic . Immortals by fall out boy was a solid song and wasn't some generic bore. Let it go was also quite the anthem while also being devilishly hard to sing . Songs don't need to lack substance to be in kids movies . That's like saying kids movies have to be as simple as possible , when for example Pixar has had huge success in kids movies because while its cartoons, adults also can find things to like

I feel like Justin is beyond over rated. I heard it on the radio and decided to listen bc I knew I wouldn't actively seek it out and was so underwhelmed and kind of shocked he would put out something so reductive. It's beyond annoying this is gonna blow up and be huge when there is much better songs/artists getting the shaft .

This is the core of why Justin is so irksome *musically* (Ask Janet & Brit about "personally- it's another story). It's annoying to see a great male pop song like "Closer" from Nick Jonas struggle or even a legend like Usher come back with a song as inventive as "Climax" last era and get paid dust, but Justin can literally release any basic nonsense and stations clear out playlist space for a red carpet welcoming. So UNjustified.

This is the definition of watered-down and generic but it grew on me and I think it's harmless fun. It'll no doubt be a huge hit this summer.

So UNjustified. He has a handful of great songs But, he's incredibly overrated. Also I think you mean Close, although he does have a song called Closer on his debut album, but I can agree since I love that song Climax was also a great song, so I can agree with you on that as well. This is too generic but it's so far doing VERY well. It's one of the problems with the music industry A popular artist having a majorly successful song that isn't even good or original.

Long term, this'll be spinning in the same place as S&T and the rest of his 2013-onward singles will be: High end department store elevators soundtracking botoxed middle aged women spending their husbands money on clothes and makeup.
