what is the third single anyone know? or any possible choices. There hasn't been any talk on a third single yet. The best guess is probably Dance Like Yo Daddy, I Won't Let You Down, or Watch Me Do. I Love Me is a possibility as well. I'd personally like to see DLYD or IWLYD. Stay away from the confidence songs for the third single. Kindly Calm Me Down or Hopeless Romantic would make great singles as well, but I don't know if they're gonna go for a ballad right now.

The one with Roc City should be next.
Something is definitely off this era though, I'm not sure what's going on with her airplay or who her management pissed off.

I think dance like yo daddy would be the best choice, and if radio doesn't play it we know they have a vendetta against her
Can you say this is a flop era? No peaked at three and this at 13, It been out all summer on top of the iTunes chart and she still has two more singles

Lol @ radio "hating her." CHR gave her a #1 smash, 2 other top 5s with longevity, and even a top 15 out of an obvious flop last era. These first two singles from this era are just sub-par and frankly annoying songs. Simple as that. She's got a nasty sophomore slump on her hands. Up to her to turn it around with better material next time.

#TeamBETTER
As for this, it's done. I don't get the disconnect though; if people hate it THAT much how the hell is it selling so well. It's bizarre, and even more pronounced than with 'No'.

I guess radio thinks enough people will change the station when it comes on???? I guess the radio has a love/hate relationship with this song?? It's included in a back to school commercial. I noticed it sales picked up even more when it started getting played. When people hear it they love it but I guess there's that many people who don't love it.
I guess everyones different I find "Me Myself And I" to be very annoying and it was a smash. lol The more I heard it the more the chorus got annoying. lol

RIP this fun, harmless song.
I haven't heard the album but hopefully there's some strong material left for the third single. So far this era is earning the dreaded "sophomore slump" status.

Personally, I wouldn't say that radio hates her by any means... Imo, the songs on her 2nd LP burn out really quickly (sans 2 or 3 max) and get annoying fast. I think her rather mediocre reception on POP perfectly reflects that.

I hope they rush Better for a late summer smash. It's more serious and very different from NO and Me Too. People might not even know it's her till a bit in. Plus "I deserve better" sounds like shade at CHR

This performed exactly as its scores would have indicated on radio. True yes, they've lost a lot of their worth with the panel cut, but if you're scoring at the bottom of likes and the top of dislikes week after week, it's most likely going to show. People have tried the "it's selling well, so play it more" argument with other songs, and once again, there isn't a perfect overlap between who buys a song and who hears it on the radio.
As for the next single, I don't think anything outside of Better, Kindly Calm Me Down, or I Won't Let You Down should be considered. I kinda think they may go for Better, but honestly KCMD may be the best choice coming off of 2 underperforming uptempos. If it had gone second, I think Watch Me Do would either have done similar to this or a bit better, but coming now I don't think it'd do well.
The album is chugging along though, they should definitely book her some slots on TV later this year and discount it to get it as far as it can units wise, and then just move on to the next project.

^How much has the album sold so far? I don't know why I was under the impression that it was flopping.

To be honest, a #11-peak song for MT is quite an accomplishment for me so I'm happy she got that far with a song I dislike At the same time, I'm still pissed at how NO was dismissed by radio. I still find myself singing it randomly. Her image change affected her cool factor I think and that's not helping either. This era is not a flop by any means but it's an underperformer for sure. I hope she can recover though.

Kindly Calm Me Down Should be next for fall , then Better For Winter , and Watch Me Do For Spring 2017. Those singles order would help

When albums clear 200k In this day and age of music sales I don't co consider them flops. Many successful artists sell 250k~ with their projects now and it's rare for artists to not receive another album after selling around that number . It's not a smash but to me 200k~ is solid enough to remain competitive in the mainstream music industry

Rihanna has sold 500k of ANTI despite probably having one of her best years singles-wise. Thank You selling 250k is very decent.

Despite its complete collapse on CHR (already down to #25), this is still sitting pretty in the top 10 on iTunes at #9

Apparently Top 40 likes to support the girls who rise on ITunes in 2 seconds and then drop when people hear there songs. I actually think this is holding on so well at ITunes because of the back to school commercial it's featured on. Imagine if it was Top 10 on the airplay chart......

Radios ignore what people want to listen, despite it's selling well on iTunes. They only play what they want or what songs are paid to be played.

Radios ignore what people want to listen, despite it's selling well on iTunes. They only play what they want or what songs are paid to be played. Bingo!! Lots of favoritism on Top 40 radio.Beiber,Selena,Taylor, Drake and Rihanna get favoritism, but artists like Britney,Gwen,Demi and even Usher can't get big hits now.
