Maybe it's just me but when they first debuted I thought Chris Young and Jason Michael Carroll sounded almost identical. Now I can tell them apart though.

You guys keep saying Robert Ellis and my mind keeps wanting to put "Orrall" at the end.
In all seriousness, Jon Randall sometimes sounds a lot like Vince Gill. "She Don't Believe in Fairy Tales" is probably the Vince Gill-iest thing that doesn't actually involve Vince Gill.
Raul Malo and James House also sound very similar, and both are clearly indebted to Roy Orbison vocally.
Lee Roy Parnell sounds a lot like Ronnie Dunn, as proven by their cover of "Take These Chains from My Heart".

Ohh.... the reason why I became a Linda Davis was because of Reba. The first time I heard her, I thought, gosh, that's so Reba. The way she sings with her gorgeous Southern accent and way she curls her notes. Even the way she holds her notes is Reba-ish. And the way both ladies love to sing those big ballads. I think Reba heard that too, this is why she invited Linda to tour with her, sing with her, recorded duets with her, and supported Linda for many years. Also, if you look at the comments on youtube, the first thing people often pick up is how much the two ladies sound alike: doogleandalix5 years ago Beautiful lady - sounds a lot like Reba who took Linda under her wing and they did several duets together. I own two of the Linda Davis cds which I dug out the other day as I am back into 90's country these days - better than the current stuff . I did not realize that Hillary of Lady A was Linda's daughter - cool . |

I personally do not think Linda sounds anything like Reba. But there is no denying that their voices complement each other extremely well! They are the epitome of perfect duet partners!

When he was the lead singer of Sixwire, Andy Childs sounded a lot like Mark McGuinn to me. I don't hear the resemblance as much on his early-90s solo stuff, or on more recent live recordings on YouTube.
