I wonder if the kworb data miscalibrated a day or two ago and this is basically a correction? It actually looks like Mediabase itself recallibrated their AI. Strange, though, because usually they do that when there is a panel change (if there is one). |

Sia is killing it. I didn't think this had any shot of #1, let alone top ten. Now I'm not so sure. It may actually pull it off as I imagine Drake/Justin will be on the decline just as Sia is heading toward her peak.
I think as much as Sia downplays a desire to be famous, she actually REALLY likes having some big hits. :)

^ Spins don't always correlate directly with AI, especially with small amounts. How many times a song is played and how many people are listening are separate things.

Essentially, look at it this way, if a bunch of stations ranked below the top 100 are decreasing the song at "fast rate," it will lose spins. However, if the top two stations in the country play it like twice more, it will likely still gain audience.
Station 1 (Rank #2): +2 / +0.976
Station 2 (Rank #1): +3 / +1.003
Station 3 (Rank #123): -6 / -0.089
Station 4 (Rank #157): -11 / -0.074
The totals would be: -12 / +1.816
Also, as far as JT is concerned, Hot AC and Rhythmic are still increasing spins.

Oh was "Titanium" performed on that new "Greatest Hits" show or something?
I noticed it in the Top 100 on Itunes at full price.
I'm assuming that show must have done well because 2 versions of Pitbull's "Messin Around" is flying up the chart.
One version is him with REO Speedwagon and the other is his own/new version.

The source of the stream has to be categorized as "music"... and it needs to be at least 30 seconds of a song, as far as i know. So, no, a typical movie trailer doesn't count directly as a song stream, but it certainly can help awareness and/or drive sales of the song, etc. |
