She performed "Be the One", "New Rules" and "Homesick" on Jools Holland last night, which will be aired this Saturday on BBC Two. I'm intrigued about the inclusion of the latter to be honest. https://www.instagram.com/p/Ba8jbznlLXB

They need to start laying the ground for the next single... The US/Canada are probably the only markets left for New Rules to peak.

They need to start laying the ground for the next single... The US/Canada are probably the only markets left for New Rules to peak. I think they already have thought about that. She confirmed to DAMMIT, a Brazilian entertainment site, that the music video she shot early last month was for "IDGAF", so this is technically the next single of the album, but it will be unveiled early next year because of (the success of) "New Rules". However, there's a rumour that a music video of "Homesick" will be released tomorrow. I'm not entirely sure about that, but the source comes from a poster of ATRL who, if I remember correctly, said a couple of hours before that the featured artist of "Walk On Water" was Beyoncรฉ before it was officially revealed, so I'm leaning to consider this information to be true. If the latter really happens, I assume that the scenario will be the following: "Homesick" will be pushed as the next single in Europe and Oceania, which are the markets where "New Rules" has peaked as you mentioned before and "IDGAF" will be released WW early next year, hence the reason why they are holding back the music video. Another possibility may be that "Homesick" will be treated as a promotional release only to make the album to be sold during Q4. I mean, the performance she made of this song in Later... With Jools Holland early this month helped the album to climb on iTunes in the UK, so they could see the track as an 'album seller'.

Two weeks later and this didn't happen, but I'm wondering if that poster meant the Later... With Jools Holland performance, which was uploaded on her YouTube channel a week before instead. That video is currently unlisted there (I assume the reason of this is because that performance is on BBC Music's YouTube channel), but you could watch it here. As a side note, "Homesick" is being pushed (I'm not sure as a main single yet, but it's most likely as a promotional release though) in a sort of way. The song was added to Dutch radio stations last week and Warner Music Phillipines is promoting it on their social media too.

Phil Christie, president of Warner Bros. Records UK, was interviewed by HDD and you could check it here or in the link of the tweet below. He said the following about Dua Lipa and what's next for her after her self-titled debut album reached the Top 5 in the UK. "There are still quite a lot of roads left in the campaign for her debut album. "New Rules" is only beginning to hit the states, so there are territories around the world where we have yet to peak with her. We're using this debut album as a springboard to have a continued series of hits, and the opportunity to do it is huge because she's now connecting on a global level. The goal is to make her into one of the biggest female pop artists in the world."

The album was ranked at #43 by Billboard on their Top 50 Best Albums of 2017 list and #9 by Rolling Stone on their Top 20 Best Pop Albums of 2017 list. From Billboard: (written by Patrick Crowley)"One hit single does not a superstar make. While international breakthrough "New Rules" continues its scaling of the Billboard Hot 100, it's the consistently high caliber of English singer-songwriter Dua Lipa's self-titled debut โ a minefield of potential smashes โ that establishes her as one of pop's most promising prospects. From the carefree kiss-off "IDGAF" to the smoky, Miguel-assisted "Lost In Your Light," the 22-year-old Londoner has set a high bar โ one we're eager to see her vault over in the future." From Rolling Stone: (written by Keith Harris)"The London-bred daughter of Kosovan-Albanian immigrants, singer/songwriter Dua Lipa has been steadily releasing a string of sharp singles since 2015, beginning with the flirty "Be the One" and finally hitting the jackpot with last year's slow-burning U.K. hit "Hotter Than Hell" โ both collected here on her terrific debut album. She emotes with some of Pink's husky attitude and some of Sia's theatrical so-over-it-ness, but she's a warmer singer than either, whether shrugging off a lover on the self-explanatory "IDGAF" or matching Miguel's intensity on the steamy "Lost in Your Light." The beats expertly match her mood, taking in just about every flavor of clubby pop from the past few years but favoring a soulful deep house pulse."

"New Rules" was ranked at #22 on Billboard's Top 100 favorite songs of 2017. From Billboard: (written by Kevin Rutherford)"Unlike some pop artists who seem to have the voice but not the presence or star power for the A-list, it always seemed like a question of when, not if, British singer-songwriter Dua Lipa would become a top 40 force. "New Rules" was the infectious viral hit to do it. Come for Lipa's serpentine vocal on the chorus, stay for her cautionary tale of casual post-breakup flings with one's ex, a theme expanded upon in one of the year's most memeable music videos. Had Rihanna recorded this, it'd already be No. 1 in the US... but check back on this one in 2018."

Idk why but I don't want IDGAF as a single anymore But rather, I want to see Bad Together, Genesis, or a re-push for one of the previous singles
Bad Together & Genesis are on my current playlists as a test spin and it clicked really hard with me right now, more so BT I'd also love to see Hotter Than Hell sent here, oddly enough it was supposed to be the original song she sent as her US debut instead of BYM(Mwah)

I forgot to mention this, but I'm wondering which song (or songs) she will be performing at the BRITs. "New Rules" seems the most obvious choice because she may get a nomination for British Single of the Year with that song, but it could be a good opportunity to launch "IDGAF" there at the same time. A medley between these two could also work in my opinion, so I hope she and her team think about that too. Another option might be that she performs "Homesick" or "Genesis" to showcase her vocals, but I'm not too sure this would happen though.
Either way, this is huge and I'm so proud of her. ^_^

I love NR but it will be ancient news by February and she needs to follow it up with more hits so give the spotlight to "IDGAF".
