NEW #1! Coldplay's "Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall" utterly dominates the competition as it surges into the JeffCharts at #1. This is Coldplay's third song on the charts, and their 2nd #1. It's also the first song in over 2 years from them, since "Viva La Vida" and "A Sky Full of Stars" hit the charts way back in May 2014. BØRNS also has a debut with "Electric Love" at #3, first song from the artist on this chart. The only songs to not have been pushed down by the 2 newcomers are "Somebody Else" by The 1975 which holds at #8, while "Photos Souvenirs" was able to climb a spot, 12-11.
Stay tuned to find out how long the Coldplay song will top! My money's on a pretty big run, but we shall see!

Oh wow, lots of new entries! It seems like the charts are cleaning up the old stuff in preparation for the new month... Well, Coldplay holds strong at #1 for a 2nd day, as Electric Love moves 3-2. Pink Guy's trap rap song "Pink Life" is the highest debut at #4. Meanwhile, "Store" by Carly Rae Jepsen debuts at #12, "Hawaiienne" by Quebec comedy rock band Les Trois Accords, debuts at #13. At the bottom of the charts, 3 more international hits make their start: Belgian artist Stromae's anti-cancer anthem "Quand c'est" starts at #18; Italian artist Laura Pausini's "Limpido", featuring Kylie Minogue, debuts at #19. Danish rock group "The Minds of 99" debuts "Hurtige Haender" at #20. Carly Rae Jepsen and Stromae both make their 3rd appearance on the JeffCharts with these songs; CRJ had "I Really Like You" and "Run Away With Me" hit the charts back in February 2016, while Stromae hit back in March 2015 with "Alors on danse" and "Tous les mêmes". Meanwhile, Kylie Minogue's feature on Limpido marks her second appearance on the JeffCharts, having scored decent chart runs in both December 2014 and October 2015 with "Into The Blue".
With all these debuts, who knows what will happen next? Check in next time to find out! And also stay tuned to find out how each song will rank in the Month End charts! They will be calculated tonight, and probably posted either then, or the next day!

None today! The new songs are utterly storming the Top 10 in today's chart! While the top spot remains unchanged as "Every Teardrop" holds at #1 for a fourth week, the 2nd best chart run since "My Town" and its 6-frame run at the top last month, almost every spot is occupied by a new song surging into the Top 10. Here's the run down: - "Otso Otso" dances up to #2 on strong Spotify and 'Mindplay' showings during yesterday's charting period.
- "Higher" by The Naked and Famous" vaults 14-3, and continues to show strength that might take it to the top in the near future, should Coldplay falter.
- "Store" by Carly Rae Jepsen skips up 11-4 off of strong Mindplay numbers. This is CRJ's third Top 5 hit, after "Run Away With Me" hit #3 and "I Really Like You" hit #2 back in February 2016.
- Danish band The Minds of 99 surge with "Hurtige Haender" 17-5. This is the first Danish language song to hit the charts, to my recall!
- Les Trois Accords' "Hawaiienne" jumps 10-6.
- Parade by Kevin Morby falls 3-7, and is the only song to drop to a spot within the Top 10 today.
- "Limpido" by Laura Pausini and Kylie Minogue jumps 16-8. The last italian song to hit the charts was "Just Show Me To Love You" by Sarah Brightman and Jose Cura back in June 2015, which hit #1 for 2 days.
- Stromae nabs a third Top 10 with "Quand c'est?" jumping up 18-9.
- "My Town" by Glass Tiger regains 13-10. The song, along with "The Sound", is currently the longest running song on the JeffCharts. It was also ranked the top song of August 2016.
[/ul]The only entries outside the Top 10 that did not dramatically fall are "Somebody Else", which only dropped 9-11, "The Sound", which only fell 12-13, "Photo Souvenirs" which holds at #15, and "Bojack's Theme" which actually rebounded 20-16! Stay tuned to see how the battle in the Top 10 will progress!

Well, this is embarassing... for several days I've had the wrong song title for the Kevin Morby song. It was actually "Parade", not "Danger"! I feel silly, especially since I have to go modify every instance of it on my charts. xD

Since I'm busy with school now, and making each chart takes up a fair amount of time, I've decided to streamline the process and just decided to take a snapshot of my Excel file from now on. I had to modify it to have the length of the stay and the song's chart progression, but it's far easier to do now! Just gotta update it once and BAM! (You can click on the image if you're having trouble viewing it) Mv = Movement # = Number on today's chart LF = Number on previous frame (chart) PK = Peak TF = Total frames spent on chart New #1! Carly Rae Jepsen finally grabs the top spot with "Your Type", her 4th song to hit the charts! Run Away With Me, one of Carly's previous hits, returns at #11! The song previously peaked at #3 in February. Meanwhile, Sugar Sugar holds #2 as Closer moves upwards 4-3, Black Skinhead retreats 3-4, All of the Lights falls from the top to #5, Travis' Sing roars 19-6. Electric Love falls 6-7, while Quand c'est rebounds 18-8. Something I Can Never Have bounces into the Top 10, moving 17-9. Store holds at #10, rounding up the Top 10. Christine and the Queens' "Photos souvenirs" spends its 10th day in the charts! Hooray! Stay tuned for Sept 6th's chart, coming up in a moment's notice!

Quebec takes over in this chart update! Popular Quebec 90s rock band "Les Colocs" takes the #1 from Carly with "Tassez vous de d'là", which seems to be the very first Quebec #1 song on the JeffCharts! Took a while, considering that's where I am from actually... xP Anyway, "Sing" by Travis holds #2 for a 2nd day, while "Your Type" falls 1-3. "Run Away With Me" holds its #4 position. Les B.B, another Quebec band which was popular in the late 80s/early 90s, takes #5 with "Donne-moi ma chance". Coldplay's "Every Teardrop..." is regaining from its harsh fall as it continues back up 7-6. "On Sight" by Kanye West reaches a new peak, moving 9-7. "Closer" falls hard 3-8, "Sugar Sugar" drops 5-9, and "Black Skinhead" falls 8-10. Stay tuned for more! -JeffRayGun

Everything else falls: "Sunshine on My Shoulders" 2-4, "Gentle Descent" 1-5, "Here Comes a Thought" 3-6, "Shelter" 6-7, "Sea of Voices 5-8, "Shake That" 7-9, and "Speed of Sound" 8-10. Stay tuned for more!

September 24th"How Long" by Lifehouse rises to the Top, grabbing a 2nd consecutive day at #1 for Lifehouse! This is the first time two artists have gotten back-to-back hits on the JeffCharts! However, Lifehouse doesn't manage to nab a 2nd day of locking up the Top 2, as "2Shy" by Shura has a hotshot debut at #2! "Somewhere in Between", yesterday's #1, falls 1-3. "Sunshine on My Shoulders" and "Gentle Descent" both hold #4 and #5 respectively. "Starboy" falls 3-6, "Here Comes a Thought" drops 6-7, "Speed of Sound" rises 10-8, "Shelter" falls 7-9, and "Sea of Voices" falls 8-10. Outside the Top 10, Jean Leloup debuts "1990" at #20. September 25th"2Shy" by Shura rises 2-1! This brings down Lifehouse's "How Long" to #2. "Sunshine on My Shoulders" rebounds 4-3, as does Starboy at 6-4. "Somewhere In Between" is knocked back 3-5 by the aforementioned gains. "1990" roars into the Top 10, moving 20-6. Dexys Midnight Runners debut "Jackie Wilson Said (I'm In Heaven When You Smile)" at #7, their first hit on the JeffCharts! "Gentle" Descent" falls 5-8, "Speed of Sound" falls 8-9, and "Sea of Voices" holds #10. Outside the Top 10, "Your Type" returns after being knocked out yesterday, and "Take Care" by Drake ft. Rihanna debuts at #20.

September 26thThe top spot for today remains Shura's as she holds #1 with "2Shy". "How Long" holds #2 for a 3rd non-consecutive day, while "Somewhere In Between" rises back to #3. Dexys' Midnight Runners nab their first Top 5 hit with "Jackie Wilson Said (...)" as it moves 7-4. "1990" by Jean Leloup rises 6-5, also his first Top 5 hit. The highest debut this week comes from Bridgit Mendler and Kaiydo with "Atlantis" at #6. "Starboy", meanwhile, falls 4-7, and "Sunshine on My Shoulders" drops 3-8. Chumbawamba debut their second song, the 90s classic "Tubthumping", at #9. Their last hit was "Amnesia" from 2014, which hit #1 for 3 days back in April of that year. Porter Robinson's "Sea of Voices" holds #10. Outside the Top 10, Take Care rises 20-11, ready to enter the Top 10 tomorrow. And since we're just 4 days away from the end of the month, here are my predictions for the Top 5 of the Month End of September 2016 at the moment: 1) Coldplay - Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (#1 for 3 days in September) 2) Les Colocs - Tassez-vous de d'là (#1 for 1 day) 3) Justin Timberlake - FutureSex/LoveSound (#1 for 3 days) 4) Carly Rae Jepsen - Your Type (#1 for 2 days) 5) The Chainsmokers ft. It's been a while. I don't think there's much point in posting every single chart up to this point; I'll update the #1s and post today's chart instead. Save me the trouble xD November 1st 2016The Weekend nabs his first #1 with "Tears in the Rain"! This dethrones David Guetta and Usher's Without Love, which debuted at #1 yesterday. Fall Out Boy's "This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race" holds #3, while The Romantics rebound 7-4 . Stars' "Hold On..." jumps back 8-5, Jon Bellion's "80s Films" bounces 9-6, while Diamonds by Rihanna falls 4-7. Summertime Sadness falls 6-8, Cold Water by Major Lazer drops 5-9, while Rebecca Sugar's "Love Like You" re-enters at a new peak, #10! Below the Top 10, twenty one pilots continue holding the upper reaches of the bottom half as Fairly Local moves up 13-12. Willow's "Wait A Minute!" rebounds 19-16, and Les Colocs debut their third hit, "Tellement Longtemps", at #17. Ke$ha's cover of It Ain't Me Babe moves up 20-19. Stay tuned for more, and apologies for the inactivity!
