This is properly fantastic. I'm not usually a fan of empowerment anthems, but this is "great".
Really liking the tropical undertones in the production. That explosive beat in the first chorus was an unexpected surprise.
Apparently Kendrick's verse is the following: Hey, I am the truth Hey, I am the wisdom of the fallen; I'm the youth Hey, I am the greatest; hey, this is the proof Hey, I work hard, pray hard, pay dues, hey I transform with pressure; I'm hands-on with effort I fell twice before; my bounce back was special Letdowns will get you, and the critics will test you But the strong will survive; another scar may bless you, ah
Waiting for that version to be released. But her solo version is a proper bop. (Even though the chord progression is similar to that of Cheap Thrills)

It's a good (yet predictable) progression from "Cheap Thrills." Smart move.

Just heard the Kendrick version... seems very rent-a-rapper.

This is "Great". Love it! Also this is kinda probably a transition to the next album. Just look at the wigs, all black. From 1000FOF (full white), TIA (half black&white), and next album (full black). IMO. She is "Sia", she can produce 2-5 albums in a year if she want.

I like this. I still have extremely mixed feelings about Cheap Thrills, but this is a step in the right direction. I was afraid that this was going to be an awful empowerment anthem and that it would sound like "Alive" (I hate that song so much) but this is actually pretty unique, I appreciate it, hopefully it does something on the charts.
But I'm afraid it doesn't sound like a hit.
Funny thing is that Sean Paul on "Cheap Thrills" completely changed my perception of the song. I have nothing against him at all, but his overwhelming presence kinda ruined the song, he just didn't fit in, I couldn't really listen to the remix. In this case though Kendrick Lamar barely changes anything in the song.

Very happy that Kendrick doesn't feature on the video version. This song is great and the video is a lovely tribute to Orlando. :)

Haven't checked anything but it and Amazon (where it's a standalone single), but on Google Play Music, this is tacked onto This Is Acting along with the Sean Paul remix of "Cheap Thrills."

Love this! Incredibly smart in my opinion to release this type of song (a proper extension of "Cheap Thrills" style...) and timing is on point as well. Already #29 on iTunes!
Hopefully this does well out of the gate due to "Cheap Thrills" doing so well, and perhaps she'll have time in between shows this fall to do some other types of promotion for this. Great song!

Not as good or as catchy as Cheap Thrills, but a decent followup

I guess this is her pop route to success, musically another boring disappointment, but she deserves the money, if you add up Sia and Kendrick Lamar, two of the most exciting musicians in pop charts, the sum must be more than average. Do either of them really needed to produce this?

It's about the nightclub shooting in Orlando. There's bullet holes in the walls, and the makeup on the children implies that they're corpses.

This feels like the natural progression from Cheap Thrills. Similar in vibe, but lusher.
I also do get We Are Born teas from this, like it would have been her next step from that album if the hiatus/1000FOF hadn't happened.

Love the video for this, beautifully done. The song is nice, definitely a progression from "Cheap Thrills". Hoping it'll become a big hit for her!

Very well done video, I was glued to the screen the whole time. Also, I agree that Kendrick seems to be just thrown in there and doesn't really add much. Makes me wonder if this was the song she was trying to get Drake on or if that is for something completely different.

I listened to this before school and I had it stuck in my head all day! It is a bit repetitive, but the production is amazing, and as always, Sia's vocals coming for us all! Already #12 #7 on iTunes :)

For some reason, this is really immediate to me. Like, I heard it once last night and its been in my head all day. While I usually like Sia, I do not normally feel that way about her singles. Hope this goes at least top 20.

The video is haunting. The lyric "I'm free to be the greatest here tonight" is very poignant.
