We hear all the time about international hits that missed the US, but let's look at the other side. Does any know of any songs that only hit it big in the US, or at least were significantly bigger here?

Andy Grammar - Honey Im Good. Did not chart anywhere except Australia but it was number 65 there but thats hardly anything considering that it was 9 in USA. It was 5 in Canada.
Every song that has done well in USA has done well in Canada. So you cannot find a song that only did well in USA and not Canada.
so basically Honey Im Good is the only one that was popular in USA and Canada from what I know.
Maybe some rap songs can fit this category too? or some country songs? Idk.

"Scars" by Papa Roach. Hit #15 in the United States, and the only non-US country it charted was Germany, where it only peaked at #82.

Needed Me has been a big hit in the US. Everywhere else it has ranged from moderate hit (#25 in Canada) to not doing much (#38 in the UK, #46 in Australia).

"Jealous" by Nick Jonas wasn't a very big hit internationally, reaching the top 10 in only 3 other countries - all English speaking (Canada, UK and New Zealand).
Also "Anaconda" by Nicki Minaj and "Talk Dirty" by Jason Derulo.

Did not chart in Canada either? Don't think so. to be fair canada didn't really have a credible national chart at the time, you either had the radio charts which aren't really archived or a physical singles chart that was horrendously inaccurate

Home by Phillip Phillips. I don't think it did much outside of North America.

The Southern Rap Takeover of the 2000s deluged our charts with Top 10s and 20s that went nowhere in other countries: T.I. - "What You Know" - "Bring 'Em Out" David Banner - "Play" - "Get Like Me" Lil Flip - "Game Over" Ying Yang Twins - "Salt Shaker" - "Wait (The Whisper Song)" (It didnt hit Top 40 in any other country) Bubba Sparxxx - "Ms. New Booty" Youngbloodz - "Damn" E-40 - "U & Dat" Baby Bash - "Cyclone"
etc. etc.

FYI Baby Bash and E-40 are Western, they from Cali.

Southern popular opinion, most of these are still radio, BBQ, and club staples. Baby Bash is VERY popular here in Texas especially in San Antonio. I also put Southern Rap because Lil Jon was the producer of those records that you pointed out and they featured Southern artists.

Doesn't matter. All other countries are irrelevant. You don't think the UK charts are relevant? The UK itself is irrelevant, unless it's importing its culture to the US (which it does often).

at the "other countries are irrelevant" bullcaca post. I'm sure there are several rap and country hits that stayed local. Heck, that Bobby Shmurda or whatever his name was is a recent example

"Heartbreak Hotel"_ Whitney Houston, Faith Evans, Kelly Price. It reached num.7 in France which I just found out today so I guess it doesn't count but I don't know if it was a quick 1 week thing.

Lights by Ellie Goulding every country song ever, thankfully 90% of rap songs, thankfully I Am 99 percent sure lights was big in Europe since Ellie is British. I could be wrong.

Actually, it wasn't quite a big hit in Britain as it only peaked at #49 in the UK Singles Chart. It was, however, pretty popular in some other countries if this is any indication: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lights_(Ellie_Goulding_song)#Weekly_charts
