This was released as a single from 2012's good kid, m.A.A.d city. It peaked at #9 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and #32 on the the Hot 100. This was a great single from a great album.

This would have to be in my 10 favourite Kendrick songs. One of the first songs I heard from him, and I've loved everything about it ever since

I just realized Kendrick was rapping in that triplet style that’s so common in trap music. The second verse in “Swimming Pools” is another example. I have always attributed it to Migos and Drake since everyone was doing it after them.
I forgot Lady Gaga was supposed to be on this track.
