I don't know if there was a thread for this already, I checked previous pages and didn't see one so I thought I'd start one. Anyways, are there any remixes for it yet? I've only got the Pump Boy Tribal Like That Mixx.

The remix you have is an amateur bootleg. The Morales remixes will be out in about a month.

Peter Rauhofer's remix is #1 on his list of remixes.

Not really looking forward to the Morales mixes... I think pretty much all his remixes suck. They are not innovative or exciting at all. They just put a dancey beat over Mariah songs but are not something I'd ever want to (or have) heard in the clubs. I don't know why people are excited for them, I listen to his past Mariah remixes and almost fall asleep.
The Rauhofer mix has huge potential as he's done some KILLER remixes.

I pretty much have an inverse view of yours about Morales and Rauhofer.

You can hear what Morales' mixes will sound like before he's done them. Some of them have been really good like the Revival Triumphant Mix of CTTA, but overall they're just blah. They're always housey. He's really only a step above Maurice Joshua.

Morales played his mixes of both "Say Something" and "It's Like That" at Unity II in Montreal last night. They were met with a great response. They both feature new vocals.

Is there any plans to release a CD-maxi single with the remixes on it? No. In fact, it's been confirmed that they won't be releasing a maxi-single. I'm not sure if there will be an online release of the remixes or a vinyl or whatever, but I'd assume we'll get them somehow. I'd say there will probably be some kind of club exclusive vinyl for DJs.

The same can't be said for Morales snoozey mixes.

If you have a Honey B. Fly membership, you can now get a license to listen to the Morales Club mix.

It is typical Morales, but the choir and re-singing kept me interested enough. I'm satisifed, it's fun and does it's thing. Bring on Rauhofer though!

I like it, but it does sound a little dated. Should do well anyway.... I like the "livin' it up, livin' it up, livin' it uuuu-uuuu-uuuuup" part towards the end. Vintage MC!

I'm not crazy about any of the remixes for this song. I'm glad she actually resung one of the remixes, though. :)

I'm not crazy about any of the remixes for this song. I'm glad she actually resung one of the remixes, though. :) With a good number of the remixes Mariah did with David Morales, she resung the vocals. I remember Mariah made an appearance on the Rosie O'Donnell Show back in the Spring of 1998 when the CD-5 of My All, with the additional remixes and other tracks was about to drop, she mentioned that she and Morales have this "special thing going", so he let's her resing the vocal instead of just using the acapella version of the original. Resung vocals tend to sound better on most remixes because the original and the remixes are often done in very different styles. Take the Morales remix of "Dreamlover." The original was good and everything, but the vocals from that one didn't seem to flow over the new beats. However, Morales had Mariah resing the vocals, giving a whole new dimension to the song. The original was dance-pop/semi-hip hop sounding, while the remix was a perfect slice of disco. And the vocals were delivered in that way. But resung vocals don't always sound good. Mariah is one of the few exceptions where the resung ones actually sound good. Let's just say many other artists should stick to using the acapellas of the originals instead of redoing the vocals.

Where's Rauhofer's mix? It's not listed on the import singles. Hopefully it didn't get shelved.

Theres nothing on his webpage about it. The only Mariah Carey on there is "Say Something". And it never even said if it was completed, it just said currently remixing...
