I wonder if Ryan will say anything about the record at most weeks at #1 because Ed is already at 9 weeks. What is the record for most weeks at #1 on AT40? Isn't it Mariah Carey "We Belong Together"?

As the, current, iteration of AT40 uses R&R for historical chart data, the "official" record would belong to Donna Lewis's "I Love You Always Forever". It was #1 for 12 weeks. "We Belong Together" spent 10 weeks at #1 on AT40 (11 weeks on Mediabase).

WBT was actually at #1 for 12 weeks on AT40, from July 2 to September 17, 2005.

"Shape of You" was said last week to be the third longest AT40 #1 of the decade (presumably meaning 2010-present.) Now it ties with "Closer", at 9 weeks. From the Mediabase stats it may tie "Blurred Lines" with 10 weeks next week, or "That's What I Like" may take over (depends on which day's or part of the week's charts they use.) If Bruno doesn't hit #1 next week, then he should the week after.

Fun fact about "All Time Low": it took 22 weeks on the chart to make the top 10, which Ryan said was the longest such climb of any song this century. Then, after one week at #10, it took only six weeks to fall off completely.

Okay, the AT40 app lied to me (only reference I had, readily, available). I counted 10, there. My archives confirm 12. Looks like it's, currently, a two-way tie between ILYAF and WBT.
