Lauren Duski is one of the finalists on the Voice, and I love her Voice.
Tonight she is performing her own song "Deja Vu" which she co-wrote with Dan Henig and Cody Tarpley. Music Video below:
She is also performing "the Dance" as a cover.

Meanwhile, four songs debut in the 40s on the Hot 100: Liam Payne's "Strip That Down," featuring Quavo, the chart's top new entry at No. 42; The Voice runner-up Lauren Duski's "Deja Vu" (No. 43); Perry's "Swish Swish," featuring Nicki Minaj (No. 46 [corrected]); and former Fifth Harmony member Camila Cabello's first unaccompanied solo single, "Crying in the Club" (No. 47).

Hearing MAJOR label bidding for Lauren.... I assume that means you've heard this from someone who would know? In other words, is is legit, or just speculation?

I use to work in country music radio, so my sources are usually pretty decent. If I was a betting man, would bet on a signed deal this month.

From her insta story it looks like she might have signed with WME for representation.

It and CAA are the two main representation agencies in music. Basically every big name out there is signed to one of the two. Also WME tends to dominate the country awards...nearly every winner at ACM's and CMA's is WME. (Carrie is CAA).

Hearing announcement in two weeks or less.
To push DejaVu as lead single after sales success.
Again, not guaranteed....but I would bet on it.

Maybe UMG Capitol-Nashville or UMG Mercury-Nashville? Also, her core fanbase already bought the song.

And core fan base may have bought it but it already has seen enough success for a label to get behind it..kind of like Chris Janson's Buy Me A Boat.

If it's BMLG, they already tried that with Craig Wayne Boyd's finale song and it flopped. Deja Vu is a much better song though. EDIT: Or Blake's label. Hmmmmm...

They sent Craig Wayne Boyd's song to radio but I don't think they ever put him on a radio tour or gave his song a proper impact date. If BMLG signed her then I imagine they learned from their past mistake and will send Lauren on a radio tour and give her a proper radio handout.

Y'all are forgetting BMLG doesn't have the republic connection anymore so no first right of refusal....and she is close friends with Danielle Bradbery and we've all seen how that had gone.

Explain the last part. Just the Danielle Bradbery part. I am confused when you said "We've all seen how that had gone"?

A long time to get new music....seems to me, Warner Bros is a little quicker to release albums than BMLG.

But look longterm...Cassadee and Danielle have set on the shelf for how long, where as, Warner releases music regardless.... Again, don't think it's a done deal yet, but I'm hearing Warner, with some connection to Blake's imprint.

Given Blake's role in the Voice, it's always made sense (to me) for his imprint to branch out into emerging talents. Makes even more sense with the deal he now has with Ryman for the two music venues.

I just hope they do the whole radio tour and proper rollout. An artist who Warner needs to get to releasing new music is Walker County. Also wouldn't mind seeing new Ashley Monroe music anytime soon. Cassadee Pope hasn't been on the shelf very long. It's been about a year since "Summer" peaked and usually they seem to try something with her every year so I imagine she will see new music soon, and I imagine the label for both ladies are waiting for the right moment in general. Now I do believe they may have f#$ked Danielle Bradbery over if she hasn't gone on a radio tour since she has a new lead single being released tonight. But back on track Warner Bros better not have The Voice momentum and send it to radio without going to radio tour and all that stuff. We saw how well that worked for Sony when they tried it with Candi Carpenter (she's not on the Voice but the comparison still applies)

I get it...everyone is super hopeful but to be honest any Nashville based label would be great. Surprised though, no one has mentioned Black River. Of the two country superstar females launched in the past few years that little label has one of them. Kelsea may not be everyone's cup of tea but no one can seriously argue about the job they did launching her career.

But I do believe that label isn't as interested in signing new artists for the time being.

Of, course they want to grow a bit .....and a small label is a great choice because she won't get lost in the noise of a busy office. Not to mention Black River's owner Terrence Pegula is worth $4.2 Billion. Just thinking....he didn't found the label to be small time because his other businesses (cough**Buffalo Bills**cough) aren't. I imagine he is waiting for the right artist. Still....like I said there are several music row labels I'd be thrilled with ...Warner Nashville is one.

Just because a small label wants to grow doesn't mean they can just sign a ton of acts all of a sudden. It takes awhile to grow, even with all of Kelsea's success. And there's no point in signing artists if the label doesn't have the man power to create and promote music for them at the moment.
Not saying Black River is off the table, hell, they may be itching to sign someone else right now. But just because they're small and capable of growth and success doesn't mean they're looking to sign artists right now

It seems like it would be adventageous to get a deal in place before CMA Fest, but that seems like a tall order, considering everyone in Nashville is a little busy preparing, including Lauren. It could be that much of the groundwork has been in place for a week or more. Hope they can get it done.
