This Dj is collecting all those celebrities, but the result is kinda cheap, not only this song but also previous ones, i guess the Dj is lazy - go and learn from Calvin Harris - time to start to work Dj Khaled. Yet he just had a debuting #1 track... The only reason it debuted number 1 was Bieber, without him it would have been a minor hit. In a couple of years nobody will remember this big hit by this DJ.

LMAO, let's please not try to re-write history to where DJ Khaled isn't a complete hack. He lives and dies by his collaborators and his chart history is spotty as f**k. "I'm The One" debuted at number one in the US and across the world (where his chart history is even worse) because of Justin Bieber, period.

Khaled amuses me but I'm still uncertain of what he actually does. When he first started out he wasn't even listed as producer on a lot of his songs. He just seemed like, I don't know, a curator or something at best. Was he lowkey a pusher and he lucked up one day when a bunch of people came to pick up their bag at the same time? "Yo, since all you guys are here, why not do this little collab real quick? You know anyone else I can call up to get a verse? I gotta wash this money somehow..."
Still, I'm not sure it's fair to throw shade at him based on his reliance on collaborations. If I'm going to call him a hack it's going to be for the fact that he might or might not even be a 'real' producer, but not for the collabs themselves. Established rap stars have been trying and mostly failing for years to put on their second-banana crew members, why would we expect a producer who doesn't rap himself to be able to put on some newbies? He can't really operate in urban the way big name producers do in pop because urban radio and listeners tend to place a bigger premium on 'name brand' status, whereas a pop producer as main act could give a hit to someone who is new or not quite a staple yet, or give a pop hit to an artist who otherwise might never appear in this section (e.g. Zedd f/ Alessia Cara, Calvin f/ Florence Welch).
This era is Khaled's first time even attempting to wander into the pop arena so it only makes sense that he's still carrying the urban mentality of 'book the big ones!' with him. As well he should have - let's not even pretend that pop would have given the time of day to a full rap song with nothing but *****s on it, or that Bryson Tiller could have pulled in anything more than a sideways glance at 3 a.m. without Rihanna fronting the track. But I am curious if ITO and this will the be the slow and steady start of urban artists/songs finally being able to creep back into crossover territory. Even with the almighty Biebs and Riri in tow, Khaled of all people is certainly not who I would have expected to be able to pull this off.

I'm still uncertain of what he actually does. Khaled I think is the producer on this album. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I have no issues with him relying on collabs. I mean, every DJ act does. I'm calling him a hack simply because his music sucks (that's when he's producing and even when he's not) like 95% of the time. This song, smash or not, is the definition of a hackjob.
Funny enough, I actually really like him as a personality.

I never would have thought he'd peak commercially at this stage of his career.

This is still rather MOR and far from what it could have been, but I just wanna say that she carries the video like a STAR. She is that bitch and more!

Funny enough, I actually really like him as a personality. His personality (and Asahd) are truly his two greatest productions. I do like quite a few of his songs though, including this one even though it is definitely guilty of the 'jack the beat and do virtually nothing to flip it' thing that is more often than not a pet peeve of mine.

This sort of reminds me about Ghetto Supastar and some of the Ja Rule/Irv Gotti collabos

People expect more from Bryson Tiller yet his three main hit songs have been sample heavy...hmmm.

The video is an icon moment for Rihanna. Maybe I'm thinking this is the unexpected song of the Summer because I first listened when I watched the video?
It's so effortless and 90's popular Hip Hop nostalgic.

And she's not saying "Waa waa..", it's "Wild". 😥 Sounds like Waa Waa though :( Thats the only bad part of the song. I think that everything else is pretty good though. I like it. It's a weird/throwback/danceable reference to Work lol

I may be in the minority here, but this is terrible. The only good thing is the guitar sample. Why must DJ Khalid feel the need to scream his name all of the time? Not necessary. King still a king bitch
