What are some songs that are awkward for an artist in hindsight?
For instance:
"Cheatin'" - Sara Evans (released less than a year before her then-husband decided to turn the song into an autobiographical tune) "Priscilla" - Miranda Lambert (came out on the Platinum album about one year before her & Blake called it quits)
And this one is more sad than awkward:
"When I'm Gone" - Joey + Rory (came out several years before Joey's diagnosis :'( )

"Riot" being released by Rascal Flatts right when the Ferguson riots happened was pretty awkward/messy.

Faith Hill - "I Can't Do That Anymore" (This Alan Jackson penned song seems awkward in hindsight because of his admitted infidelities)
Trisha Yearwood w/ Garth Brooks - "In Another's Eyes" (Garth was still married to Sandy, as was Trisha with Robert Reynolds)
Vince Gill - "Whenever You Come Around" (Vince wrote this for Amy Grant while still married to Janis)

Faith Hill - "I Can't Do That Anymore" (This Alan Jackson penned song seems awkward in hindsight because of his admitted infidelities) Speaking of this, wasn't one of those infidelities actually rumored to be with Faith Hill? Also, it makes Alan's "Who's Cheatin' Who" kind of awkward.

How about Miranda singing "Staying married was the only way to work your problems out" only a year before she and Blake divorced?

Billy Joe Royal's Burned Like A Rocket hitting the top ten right when the space shuttle Challenger exploded in January, 1986.

Pam Tillis' "I Was Blown Away" was in the top 20 of the Billboard charts when Oklahoma City bombing happened. She quickly dropped the single afterward.

Kenny Chesney wrote the song "You Had Me From Hello" after seeing the movie Jerry Maguie in which Renee Zellweger's character say's the line "You had me at hello". Seems pretty awkward now considering Kenny and Renee's short lived marriage.
