The adds date is pretty late considering how well it has been doing on Spotify, but honestly, I'm just THRILLED this is finally going to radio. I just hope WBR fully intent on pushing this to the fullest. This is her biggest chance at a U.S. breakthrough!

I thought it sounded too late before. So glad they're bringing it forward!

The video is brilliant. Might be my favourite of the year so far. Could you please tell me what you liked about it? I may have missed the point. Me and my roommate LOVED the song, have been jamming for weeks now. But the video was an awful, boring, missed opportunity in my opinion. She definitely needed dancing, she needed the f**kboy she was singing about to make an appearance, she needed to do SOMETHING besides standing there dressed like an annoying instagram fashion blogger... what a miss, imo. Ruined the song too, which I really loved.

Sure, it didn't have any heavy choreography or a love interest, but there is something brilliantly subversive about that. Those kind of videos have been done to death; it would have probably seemed generic if those elements were included.

Ruined the song too, which I really loved. IMO the video is great because it doesn't follow the cliche type music videos with a typical love interest and a revenge plot, something of that sort. But rather, it takes the lyrics and applies them perfectly to the video Personally I'd say the video depicts 3 phases The Pain: Dua at first is still conflicted and wants to fix it, signaled by her trying to pick up the phone (call her ex-lover), try to exit out the door(to probably go see him), and then her running out into the hallway ensuing in my favorite part of the video is the wellfully shot hallway scene. Dua is hurt and trying to get back with her ex, but the other girls there are stopping her from doing so, as it's nt the right thing to do. Setting up Dua's own New Rules literally Applying the Rules: Following that we see Dua now looking more happy than earlier, as she is now applying the rules. This pretty much is a girl power moment of strength as she does the same stuff as before but she knows it's the other girls want let her, probably as a test. And now she is cl early getting over her past love. And then cues the poolside scene And the last part is Empowering Others: we see another girl now doing exactly what Dua was doing herself in the 1st phase. But now we see Dua being the one to stop her from doing what she was tempted to do herself (pick up the phone, walk out the door). Essentially the music video is a different approach on female empowerment, that a lot of people liked it's execution because it's simple but effective and not as cliche as many other music videos are. It also perfectly catches the vibe, meaning, and lyrics of the song.

It also shows the importance of the friendship and how much you can rely on them when you have a breakup with someone.

For example, the girls mimicking the flamingos from the upside down world (which Dua intentionally conceptualized in the video because of flamingos' tendency to support each other in flocks, much like the girls are in the video) with their choreography. Not so boring, huh?

The video is a standout because it features nothing but women - and DIVERSE women of various races, sizes, and hair types - but isn't frying-pan-over-the-head obvious or cliche with its message of female-empowerment and inclusion. I'm sure Dua and the video director put deeper thought into it than just that (e.g. the flamingo choreography that JayBoozer mentioned above) but it's really that simple. The visual is so stunning because it's (sadly) so rare to see someone nail it so perfectly.

The video actually reminds me of what Bieber's "Love Yourself" could have been if it wasn't shit.

#5 on UK iTunes and #6 on Spotify. To complement this, it's currently at #9 on the Thursday update in the UK, which means that she's on course of getting her second Top 10 (third overall) as a lead artist there. It should be mentioned that there's missing data of Wednesday from Apple Music, Amazon HD and Spotify.

Reaches a new peak of #9 in the UK, matching the peak of "Be the One" there.
