I haven't had time to listen to all the songs yet, but a quick scan seems to suggest that this album is utterly lacking in tempo and energy.

Their worst one yet for me. Go back to Paul Worley and Josh Kear and Tom Douglas and put out some music like the music that got them here.

"good time to be alive" and "think about you" are potential singles after "you look good" the rest is blah mess. i thought they took their time on this album? seems like it was thrown together in a week.

This album isn't bad. But it's really boring as a whole. There's no really bad songs but as a whole I find the album to kind of run together. Besides "You Look Good" and "This City" I don't believe there's much uptempo material. If I was doing single this is how I would do this era
1. You Look Good 2. Heart Break 3. Somebody Else's Heart 4. Hurt (if they go this far, I have a feeling that this album will officially make them irrelevant and we will probably rarely hear from them ever again)

Pretty miserable. Everything about it feels safe. It's okay. At least we got the stellar Charles solo album

I want so bad to be excited about this album, but I just can't right now. Lady A is the first country act I followed religiously from the beginning of their career. Their first album remains one of my favorites of all time. I've looked forward to every album with great anticipation, but I almost forgot this one even came out today. I'm not a huge fan of You Look Good and aside from Heart Break I didn't really care for the songs they were releasing leading up to the album release. I can see Heart Break becoming a pretty big hit, maybe Someone Else's Heart, but that's it really. I'll admit I only gave these songs a half-hearted listen this afternoon, but absolutely nothing stuck out to me. No obvious his, no songs that I see myself playing on repeat. I'll give it another chance over the weekend, but man I miss loving this group so bad. I was hoping the time off would result in their best album since their debut, but I'm afraid this may be my least favorite by a wide margin.

What happened to the band that brought us great songs like "Love Don't Live Here", "Our Kind Of Love" "Just A Kiss", etc. Their first 4 albums were their best and this one and 747 were just a mess.

I actually don't mind this after a couple of listens, but I agree that it's nowhere near as good as their first two albums, or Golden. For me, things took a turn for the worst on their third album, and they have never really recovered from that. I really do miss the more country/rock feel of their first couple of albums, and really wish that they would go back there again. Unfortunately, to me it seems pretty unlikely that that will ever happen. So this, to me at least, isn't bad for what it is. The album gets a little too sleepy by the end though. I still don't love "You Look Good", but it probably was the best pick for the lead single. The album is lacking a killer uptempo that should have led off the project. For future singles, I see "Heart Break" (I actually really like that one), "Good Time To Be Alive" or "Think About You".

Ugh, I'm just going to go and enjoy their first album instead of bothering with this. I have zero interest in even listening to it. So much potential wasted with terrible songs over the years

Surprised to hear such a negative reaction to this. I'm not a Lady A die hard by any means, but I think there are some good songs on here. "Heart Break" is my favorite, and should definitely be the second single. Hopefully they won't screw this up again, like how they didn't release "Lie With Me".
"Hurt" is one song that could be risky, but I could see it blowing up too. Might be a song to consider down the line IMO.

I got the album for free because I bought a ticket to their concert. The download didn't have the artwork, which is disappointing. I need to listen a few more times before passing judgement.

I've been listening to this album trying to see what will stick with me and it's so underwhelming that only a handful of songs are really sticking with me. "You Look Good" still remains a strong uptempo gem and songs like "Heart Break" "Hurt" and "Somebody Else's Heart" are really strong as well.
The rest however is still not sticking with me. Say what you want about 747 that album had at least some energy too it. This album once you get passed "This City" just all starts to blend together. Lady Antebellum is an act I love, but, I'm not going to lie this album is really boring and kinda frustrating. They've proven themselves better and I don't think this album will cement them back to A-list status, if anything I expect them to go further into irrelevance if I am being honest.

Giving this a first run-through and I don't think it's anything special but it's certainly not bad, either. It's maybe a little better than I expected even, lol. They definitely have enough stuff on this that they should be able to squeeze out another 2 or 3 hits following "You Look Good" provided they don't completely botch the single choices like they have the last two eras ("Goodbye Town" and "Freestyle" being atrocious second singles). The title track should absolutely be the second single and I think it would be a big hit for them.

I´ve always been a huge fan of Lady A but I was worried about this new album."Heart Break" starts well but then the album becomes so bland besides I miss Charles singing more. The album is better than I thought but its not memorable and I even found difficult to pick other singles besides the ones everyone mentioned (Heart Break and Somebody Else´s Heart) "Hurt" didnt move me yet.I have been missing better lyrics from Lady A like they used to make in "When You Got a Good Thing", "All I Ever Need","Cold as Stone" or "Hello World" these are songs that stick with me until today. Some songs nowadays I really think are too "teen" but it has been coming since "747"in my opinion. As a fan I am gonna keep listening to the album and even buy it but I do hope that Lady A from the past come back someday.

I've only listened to this album once through and even though I wasn't blown away by the record, "Heart Break" sounds like a great single and future #1.

Now that I've given this one another listen, I'm warming up to it a little more. It's still probably my least favorite album of theirs, but there is potential for some decent success if they choose their singles wisely (which I feel they've done poorly at the last couple of eras). Heart Break seems to be the most popular choice for the second single. I can see Someone Else's Heart being pretty big too. I'd like to see Hurt released since it seems like it's been forever since they've released a good ballad as a single. It would be a risk, but I could see it potentially being huge. Nothing else is standing out to me right now as big hits. I'm a bit nervous to hear what they release next. I would have never predicted Freestyle would be a single on 747 and that song pretty much killed any momentum they had. I'm really hoping they do better this time around.

A Guy I follow on YouTube (Spectrum Pulse) just covered this album
I've been listening to this album and despite my love of "Heart Break", am I the only one who absolutely adores "Hurt" and "Somebody Else's Heart". I love Hillary Scott's voice on the former and the latter I adore due to the duet aspect.
With "Heart Break" more than likely being the second single, I hope that after that the label takes a risk and goes for one of those two as well.

Business as usual with me and Lady A. I like one or two songs enough to buy and the rest meh. All I hear when "You Look Good" comes on is "Use Me Up" since their awards performance. I bought "Hurt" and "Somebody Else's Heart".
