The future of Chainsmokers?

They have had hit after hit for over a year now... What do you think of their next era? Will they ever get another top ten hit on Hot 100?

I see them fading quite fast... they are in an interesting position though and wonder if they can evolve with their sound.

The thing that keeps the Chainsmokers in the top 10 is the fact that they always had a single, for the entire time. They'll fall out and possibly never come back once they won't promote a single.

Yeah, they can't have a break now. I know they're touring but they must have a new single out before it's too late. Otherwise their time will just pass.

I have always been fascinated by these sort of "flavor of the month" acts such as Macklemore, Chainsmokers and Iggy Azalea

They have had a near-record run in the top 10 and they have nothing at the moment to replace it.

They are "over" only in the sense that they have no followup single. We should probably wait for this until they record and release something else.

Remember, their first record in 2014 was a novelty song. They figured prominently in all the one-hit wonder threads we have here and then proceeded to spend over a year in the top ten once they released something else.

If "Honest" really is their next single it will probably flop, because it lacks featured star and is coming from an album with mixed reception that people already forgot about. But they can still easily get more top 10 hits, especially with big name collaborations.

For dance acts, getting top ten hits is not that easy even with feats... Calvin Harris has four and Guetta has six. The Chainsmokers have five already

At the very least I could see them getting a top 10 debut in the future.

I think they have at least one more top 10 in them. Maybe the lead single from their next album (provided that they don't wait like 3 years).

The only thing is that their music is starting to sound the same and to be quite honest I'm starting to get sick of their stuff. I was one of the people who were rooting for "Roses" to do really well earlier in its chart run and even liked "#Selfie" (so I do like The Chainsmokers quite a bit) but I think we've had too much of them over the past year. They probably need to switch up their sound a bit to continue to be successful.

I think they got one, maybe two, more top 10s in them. But I suspect that their best days are behind them.

They will have another one at the very least. Can't see them falling from #3 peaking Something Just Like This to oblivion.

More likely going to happen with a new song and not something from their current album though. I like a few tracks but it's pretty unremarkable overall.

Hard to predict..but top 5/10 song is guaranteed. Probably lead single or strong feature artist. It's interesting that they give Rozes, Daya and Halsey their only top 10 song.
