What are the funniest mistakes you've ever heard a DJ make on the air? Here are some of mine:
* Last week, I heard a DJ somewhere in Kentucky call Parmalee "Paramore".
* When my sister lived in Marquette, the local country station did a classics show late at night, hosted by a very old guy. Once, he managed to play an entire 45 at 33 RPM.
* Not musical related, but I remember WKJC having an intern DJ once who was terrible. He constantly stuttered/tripped over his words on air, even when reading off a script. At one point, he was trying to throw to another DJ who was doing a live remote in Whittemore, but kept saying it "Whitmore". Even after the other DJ corrected him, the closest he ever got was "Whittermore". He didn't last a month there.

Had a DJ here years ago call Travis Tritt "Travis Tit". Even made their then yearly morning show CD.

Well since this was recently relevant to this new thread: Heard "Hurricane" on the radio yesterday and a DJ came on after it ended and said "and that was 'Hurricane' by Luke Bryan."

I can't remember if it was "Ramblin' Ray" Stevens or Bob Guerra. Both of them did very similar "new music" shows that were syndicated, and WATZ played both of these shows in 2005. But one of the hosts was really inept and kept saying "man, I love this song" for every new song he played. He also constantly got titles wrong. He kept calling Dwight Yoakam's "Intentional Heartache" "International Heartache", and constantly called Little Big Town's The Road to Here album The Road to Nowhere.
There was also the time Bob Kingsley managed to speed up "Eight Second Ride" by about 10%. I actually shot them an e-mail and one of the producers admitted it was an encoding error which he fixed immediately after reading my e-mail.

Yesterday a DJ here played "This One's for the Girls" and then came on at the end and was like "and that was Jo Dee Messina!"

It's one thing to confuse a lesser-known artist with a more popular one, like your Luke Combs/Luke Bryan post earlier in the thread. But this example is literally the opposite of that...

On a similar note, this wasn't actually something a DJ said, but it was equally as ridiculous. When my family went to Nashville last February to tour some college campuses for my sister, our tour guide at Vanderbilt University kept touting some of the cool ways the country music scene influenced the campus community. I don't remember the whole context, but he kept talking about "X's and O's, by Martina McBride." And it was the funniest thing because the whole group is like nodding along and excited, and my dad and I looked at each other like, "This fool doesn't actually know what he's talking about, does he."

Wasn't that on the same album as Independence Day?

Jeffrey Steele hosted CT40 for Bob Kingsley one time and he introduced Josh Thompson (Debut single Beer on the Table had just debuted at 40) as a football player gone country.

^ Both Bob and Jeffrey somehow thought that Joe Nichols' "Believers" was a Phil Vassar/Craig Wiseman song. I have no idea how they got that so horribly wrong, especially since Phil has had virtually no outside cuts since his own singing career began.

I was on vacation a few weeks ago. "This Kiss" by Faith Hill came on in the convenience store where we had stopped. The deejay said, "I've always liked that Shania Twain hit...that's This Kiss..."

How about Bobby Bones getting his show/station/whatever a $1,000,000 fine for (accidentally) playing the emergency alert tone during a show (not a drill) that shut down TV stations and transmitted a message saying there was a national emergency and to standby for a message from the President?
