Honestly, I thought AT40 would give "Mercy" its' mandatory second straight week at #40. Anyway. the tie for oldest current record on AT40 is broken with "Love On The Brain" maintaining sole possession.

Yes, "On My Mind" is airing on CHR AT40 for the second straight week (and you thought playing "Boom Clap" twice in four weeks was much) but 1.) it did not air on the Hot AC version a week ago and 2.) At least it's not "#SELFIE" (I still can't believe this was part of the last Two-For-One AT40 ever did).

As ephemeral or annoying as "#SELFIE" is, at least it's not overplayed. Who really misses hearing "Closer" or "Don't Let Me Down" yet again? ("Roses" isn't as overplayed, and I personally like it better.)

I suspect the hosts have two or three more of their own songs to introduce; while waiting for the chart I suspect that if "Paris" fell out it would be an extra given the circumstances and the fact that AT40 often features just-fell-off songs as extras. Plus "Honest" should either debut or be an "On the Verge" or something, and then there's "Something Just Like This".

FYI, #SELFIE was the last ever Two-For-One (paired with what was then the Chainsmokers' second hit "Roses"; "On My Mind" was charting then).

It's at #13 on MB as of today, so that road will likely take a U-turn next week.

And based on Mediabase, expect some shaking up in the top 10 the next couple of weeks, in contrast to this week when the entire top 7 stay frozen in place.

Incidentally, we have five songs on this week's AT40, including two debuts, from artists who have guest hosted the show in the last six weeks. In addition to this week's hosts, who pull triple chart duty with "Honest" debuting, Noah Cyrus also debuts with "Stay Together" (though it probably won't go too far up the chart; on MB it peaked in the mid-30s and is now falling.) And Charlie Puth scores what I think is his first top 10 AT40 hit on his own.
