I think there's three options now.
New single at Superbowl time, with some sort of extra promo with NFL - Album in early/mid May New single a couple weeks after Superbowl - Album in mid/late May New single a couple weeks after Superbowl, peaked in June / 2nd single July - Album in September (new label, new radio strategy similar to Keith aka 2 singles released before album drop)

^Well, that explains it. Bummer. Now we're even further from new music it seems than before. I'm throwing all my predictions I just made out the window. I have no idea now.
I mean the Grammy thing is cool for sure, but new music is cooler, lol!

I can't imagine a broken wrist threw any new music timeline drastically off course. Especially since she's already received the surgery and just needs to recover. Looks like she's probably done with appearances through the end of the year, though.
In other news, the concert movie comes out on Friday.

Damn, she must have taken a really hard fall! Surgery? Well I hope she has a speedy recovery! Hopefully it wasn’t her writing hand! ;p just kidding, of course! Get better, Carrie, the world needs you and your music!

It's a sign that not only will she snatch wigs , she will also destroy her competitions to the bones with her new album.

So I guess Carrie is not being inducted into the Oklahoma Hall of Fame this year. Since she cannot attend, her invitation has been revoked. Kinda fucked up, but I get it. She’ll be eligible next year so I’m sure she’ll be inducted then.
ETA: I see this was previously mentioned, my bad. But still wanted to post my thoughts..

"Softly and Tenderly" has been uploaded to the offical CMA Vevo page: Why did it take a week? It should have been there soon after the show when there was buzz.

"Softly and Tenderly" reminds me of "O Holy Night." Each time Carrie goes into the "Come home" I starting singing "Noel"

We should have a Storyteller Tour: Stories in the Round watch-party.
I'm mad at the girl in the audience with the sign reading My Dream Setlist and it doesn't feature "Chaser." Should've been escorted out of the premises.

One of the worst moments of my adult life was finding out that the 3 instrumental interludes of the tour were the 3 best songs on the record.

It's a sign that not only will she snatch wigs , she will also destroy her competitions to the bones with her new album. Considering she's been using her wrist to consistently snatch wigs for 12 years, it's a miracle it's stayed intact this long.

One of the worst moments of my adult life was finding out that the 3 instrumental interludes of the tour were the 3 best songs on the record. Literally watched this with my friends who are second-hand fans who didn’t see the show... Got to the part where the instrumental for “Relapse” plays and my friend says “omg this is the best song on the album, this should be awesome!” She was obviously, then, upset when Carrie didn’t actually sing the only song she truly cared for... such a shame!

Anyone watch that GRAMMY special she cohosted with John Legend last night? Anything good? I watched the first half-ish. It was an interesting special, but it didn’t really feature her accomplishments or performances at all (first 75 minutes of it anyway).

^They showed her MJ tribute at the end and showed her as the only one singing, but that was it, and briefly showed her during "The Fighter" last year.

No GRAMMY noms, not that this should really surprise anyone. Rare is the year that this happens!

They won't support her old material from the previous label, and that's understandable. Dont think she will perform either. Is this the first time Carrie not nominated for a grammy ??

Nope. 2014, when she was dead between BA and CUX1. 2 years of no nominations out of 12 active years total. Sis ain't cryin'.

Is this the first time Carrie not nominated for a grammy ?? She might be involved in a tribute or debut her lead single #wishfulthinking

Hope she skips it entirely this year. She performed the last 2 years in a row. She can sit one out.

No GRAMMY noms, not that this should really surprise anyone. Rare is the year that this happens! Dirty Laundry was released Sept. 5th 2016, the eligibility period began Oct. 1st 2016. I think that is the main reason it was not nominated.
