YES! My 2nd favorite song on the album. Such a fun jam of a song. I was hoping we'd get a lead single from her soon, but I'm fine with this getting a release too. I hope it turns into a hit and doesn't take 8 months to become one...

I don't understand why a single is still being promoted from a debut album from a singer of her caliber.

I don't understand why a single is still being promoted from a debut album from a singer of her caliber. I agree. As much as I love this song, she should have moved on to a lead single already to capitalize on her popularity/hype. This song is great, but a brand new song would do much better in taking her career to the next level. The Christian music industry is just way too slow and drawn-out.

I think releasing a fifth single IS capitalizing on her popularity. I find that to be much more like the secular music industry than anything. Yes, the Christian charts move slowly. That's not necessarily bad. When you have a smaller audience, it's even more important to maximize exposure for help getting turnout on tours and the like.
My family went to a Newboys concert and the vast majority of the audience stood still with their jaws about on the floor when they played "Jesus Freak". I'm guessing virtually none of them had ever heard of DC Talk, or even for that matter knew that Michael Tate wasn't always their lead singer. They were there for God's Not Dead.
Given that dynamic, and that Christian artists in particular have trouble sustaining any major fan hoopla and loyalty based primarily on the music, I don't blame them for looking to establish major albums and songs that everyone will know.
Sorry that was long.

As much as I wanted a lead single, I probably would not have heard this song if a new song came out. I need to check out her debut album.

This is my second favorite on it after "How Can It Be" so I am definitely okay with it being released as a single. I'm just impatiently waiting for new music from her since I've been obsessed with this album for a long time now

Love this. Glad it reached the top (on MediaBase at least)!
