mamasaid help me out on this one lol. I just don't think Tim is as good as he thinks he is, or as good as everyone else thinks he is. I saw him live... he was OK. Not the strongest vocalist. Pretty arrogant imo. I just don't like him. He has some great songs, like most every country artist, but overall.... no.

Tim McGraw is another favorite of mine. I love "Where The Green Grass Grows" but am completely okay with it going here.
The final song to miss the top 10 I am expecting people to get upset over...

if it is any consolation to those who love this song, the #10 song only has 2 points more, so it was super close to the Top 10.
Also, my ranking for this song may be low but that does not mean I don't love this song. It is the song that introduced me to Sara Evans (somehow I never heard her first album and to this day haven't heard it). Just love others more, that is what is so hard about this rankdown too many songs I really love.

I'm surprised "This Kiss" managed to finish in the top 10! I thought it was going to be polarizing even if it did finish really well in the Faith Hill rankdown. I love "This Kiss" so good for me!

Come on, it's TIM! He will never win with me. Unless it's "The Cowboy In Me" <3 I know but still! I will never understand your hate for Tim. Gotta agree with LBTrocks here....Tim has always struck me as a 'poser'...rumor has it (my sources are surprisingly reliable) he's autotuned & protooled up the whazoo....

I'm surprised that Lee Ann Womack has two songs left in the top 10. I was sure one (if not both) would have been out 11-20.

Even though Sara Evans just missed out, this Top 10 is pretty damn flawless. I love that we got double doses of Dixie Chicks, Lee Ann Womack, and Jo Dee Messina... and also that there is only one male song still left in, lol.

I love that we got double doses of Dixie Chicks, Lee Ann Womack, and Jo Dee Messina... and also that there is only one male song still left in, lol. And it's the right male song, too! I love Tim, and I thought "Where The Green Grass Grows" had a strong shot at the top 10, but if George had missed the top 10 with a song as good as "True" I would have probably never recovered from the shock. Edit: I am sad to see Sara miss the top 10, but I agree that this top 10 is flawless overall. And I feel better about it considering that she was never actually in the top 10 at any point in the submission process, and even ended up finishing at her highest point. Plus it's not one of her bigger hits, so it did pretty dang great considering that many people had probably never heard it before.

Glad to see the showcase for The Mavericks Trampoline album. It has some great album tracks that I still come back to listen to this this day. If anyone has ever seen the movie The Horse Whisperer you'll also recognize one of the songs from this album.

As others have said, I am so thrilled to see that 60% of the top 10 consists of Jo Dee Messina, Lee Ann Womack, and the Dixie Chicks! Jo Dee is definitely not a surprise, but I am super shocked about Lee Ann! These are 2 of my favorites from her, so it is amazing to see them both do so well I figured they might stall in the 11-20 range, like someguy said. Predictions:
10. There's Your Trouble - Dixie Chicks 9. A Little Past Little Rock - Lee Ann Womack 8. This Kiss - Faith Hill 7. You've Got To Talk To Me - Lee Ann Womack 6. Wide Open Spaces - Dixie Chicks 5. You're Still The One - Shania Twain 4. A Broken Wing - Martina McBride 3. Bye Bye - Jo Dee Messina 2. True - George Strait 1. I'm Alright - Jo Dee Messina Honestly, I would be thrilled with most of these winning... Unfortunately I don't think Faith or Lee Ann stand a chance, but everyone else is at least a dark horse contender with one of their songs. Ultimately I think Jo Dee and George will fight this out, with Jo Dee coming out on top in the end because there are at least a couple people who thought that "True" was the worst George song in this rankdown. "Wide Open Spaces" has a chance, but I think it will ultimately end up getting tanked earlier than expected, similar to what happened in the Dixie Chicks rankdown. "You're Still The One" has a strong chance as well, but may suffer from the fact that some people do not like Shania. I think Martina's will be the interesting song to watch in this bunch. "A Broken Wing" would be a very deserving winner, but I see the old Martina curse catching up with it (meaning her songs are usually a lock for the top 10, but struggle to make the top 5). I remember that ABW left us at #7 in the 1997 rankdown, but since then it has shown up and done well in several rankdowns (#2 in Martina McBride, #1 in Evolution album, plus TBA in CMA Songs of the Year), so I am not sure whether it will peak higher or lower here. New participants might have helped push it higher, but people who dislike it might have ranked it lower because they are just plain tired of having to rank it. I'm hoping that the iconic status of the song will help push it into the top 5 over Shania and Dixie Chicks, but we'll just have to wait and see. Also, I would not be surprised to see Jo Dee absolutely massacre the competition and end up getting both of her songs into the top 2, in which case we will see a reprise of the end of the JDM rankdown.

None of my top 10 songs was eliminated yesterday but I still wish that Now That I Found You would make it to top 10 because it is amazing song.
Predictions: I'm generally happy with the remaining 10 songs, especially because my #1 is still in. I don't see any clear favorite but I think I'm Alright has pretty good chances to win.
10. There's Your Trouble 9. True 8. A Little Past Little Rock 7. This Kiss 6. Bye Bye 5. You've Got To Talk To Me 4. You're Still The One 3. A Broken Wing 2. Wide Open Spaces 1. I'm Alright

I love Sara, but not this song and it doesn’t deserve a year end Top 10 spot.
This Top 10 is great.

It's CRIMINAL that I only have 1 top 10 going into the top 10.
I had a VERY strong top 10. Seriously. Will be posting my top 10 after this rankdown is over and I will dare any one of you to say it was a weak one.
