I know but still! I will never understand your hate for Tim. Gotta agree with LBTrocks here....Tim has always struck me as a 'poser'...rumor has it (my sources are surprisingly reliable) he's autotuned & protooled up the whazoo.... Sorry but your 'sources' aren't as reliable as you claim. Tim has used autotune on very few songs over the course of his career, I know for a fact at least 90-95% of his catalog is autotune free. I've seen probably 30 or more videos posted of him and his band backstage warming up before a show with an acoustic song, no microphone or anything, just his voice and some guitars and he sounds every bit as good as he does on his albums.

It leaves traces behind on the recording and there are very few songs of his that use it. Took a class in college that specifically talked about how to hear it and we had to train ourselves to hear it. He has used it but it is usually an obvious production choice and not because he needs it vocally. I will say I agree he doesn't have the most incredible voice but he makes up for that in his delivery of most songs and of the song selection themselves (usually)

Faith is so, so good. Very close to Fireflies as being Ms. Hill's best, imo.

Both bboat11 and BackwoodsBarbie correctly guessed this song would be our #10! I will tell you though that they are both wrong about #9!

so my rankings for "There's Your Trouble" and "Wide Open Spaces" may have been on the low side but that is because while I liked the songs well enough I never went out of my way to listen to either song and I did for others and I do like them more now than I did then but I still couldn't rank them any higher.
About to post the next 4 Missed Songs! Will only have 4 more left afterwards!

zaclord π now moving songs into the top 10 at the last minute in addition to kicking some out I'm really digging this "last person to submit" role I have here! Tanking songs that deserved it and propping the good songs into higher position! MY IMPACT :'(

Love Martina's track - I opted not to submit songs that would appear on 1997 or 1999 lists.

"Whatever You Say" is one of my all time favorite songs. The only reason I did not vote for it is because it was not released as a single in 1998 and there were a few that I wanted to vote for that I hated not including in the final list.
#9 is coming next and I think it is what everyone might be expecting, but maybe not

Both d3vin44 and Cody Wants Out... correctly guessed this song would be our #9! Ironically Lee Ann Womack was #9 in the 1997 Rankdown with "The Fool" and is here at #9 again with the followup to that song!

I am super excited for that, I will definitely be buying it when it comes out! It was seriously the perfect night to make a live album. That was without a doubt the most reactive crowd I have ever seen! Garth even got choked up a few times. He just kept on going and going too; he started around 8pm and didn't walk off the stage until close to 11:30pm. The encore alone was probably 10 songs, and he even brought Trisha back up on stage in her jeans and a sweatshirt because somebody requested "Walkaway Joe"!
