Still have no idea what's the plan with this song. They are letting this die at the same time as Look and preparing to launch the 2nd single (or 3rd idk anymore) early November. That's my bet. |

I hope this makes it farther than LWYMMD. This is the far superior song. Isn't LWYMMD about to hit #1? I don't know how much farther it can get. I don't get the doom and gloom some people seem to be expressing. This song is still getting near +100 days with another song about to hit #1 from the same artist. This one is poised to pick up major spins when LWYMMD begins its descent. |

This is going for Rhythmic adds in two weeks, so looks like that this will be properly pushed to Top 40/M radio as well. And looks like this isn't going to be properly pushed in this format because the Rhythmic impact date has been pulled from AllAccess. I really like this a lot but I think they should go for another single the day of album release or the day before.
It will be all about Taylor.
This doesn't feel old but a decent amount of the GP has heard this already.
I'm not sure if a big promo push is worth it now....
Didn't it already get used in tv promos anyways.
I doubt a new Taylor song would get lost in the "freeze".
If it's not good it will still get play for 6 weeks and die off near New Years but she will already have her holiday sales anyways. lol

The problem is that the majority of the GP already know of or heard the track. It will not bring any hype or new level of excitement heading into the album release. The streaming for this is also dismal and I doubt the video will help it bounce back that much, especially on Spotify and Apple Music. While I like the track, I don't really think it's a good idea to fully push this. The damage was done the minute they decided to release this few days after LWYMMD. If they had not done that, I would completely be on board with having this being released this month as a haven't-heard-before brand new single. But right now, I think a new song will help out the era more tbh. |
