Incredible, eclectic album. I've been a fan of Thomas's since "Beer with Jesus" and even though his sound has drastically changed, and yes a lot of his stuff isn't traditionally country sounding, but I really like his growth over the years. He makes some incredibly catchy music. "Leave Right Now" is awesome but I'll be pissed if it's a single because it sounds like a Chainsmokers song and doesn't belong on country radio AT ALL. "Marry Me" and "Sixteen" are for sure singles though. "Life Changes" may be my favorite on the album though (actually no I still like 16 better I think). It's so personal to his life which I love. The "Die a Happy Man" reference is golden. I need to listen to the 2nd half of the album more because I've been stuck listening to "Unforgettable" (which has grown on me a ton lately), "Sixteen", "Drink a Little Beer", "Marry Me", "Leave Right Now", "Life Changes", and "Grave" because I love them all so much I just keep going back and listening to them again.

"Drink A Little Beer (f/his dad) is the most country song he's recorded in about 4 years...hope it gets released at some point. "Renegades" is solid too. I can do without the rest of the album.

The only song I like on the entire album is "Drink A Little Beer". How in the hell is this considered a country album?

I usually forgive the Pop and Rock tendencies (while clinging to the more traditional songs), but this album is rough for me. I can't get through the iTunes previews. I can handle the Pop and R&B, so long as you throw me a bone with country songs in there. The best of the album has been released already before the official release date. I figure this album will garner multiple crossover hits though. Grave and Life Changes seem like ones that will be big...16 is probably the best on the album for me. Crazy how similar he and his dad sound on DAB.

"When You Look Like That" is probably going to be a single and a huge hit. I could see the rest of the singles going like this -
Marry Me When You Look Like That Sixteen.
I get that the duet with his dad is country in sound, but it doesn't hold up to the rest of the material on the CD for me. It is probably only better than Kiss Me Like A Stranger for me.

Not gonna lie , I only listened to “Drink a Little Beer” , since that was being touted as the token country song of the set. I couldn't even make it though the iTunes sample. Holy Auto-tune Batman! Its a crying shame when one of country music's leading acts needs to have pitch control slathered on their records to stay in key.

A few of the songs near the end all blended together and I haven't relistened, but I am definitely pushing for Marry Me and Drink a Little Bear. The latter already has a radio edit point before they start talking about his dads comeback.
Also digging When We're 80, thought I would hate it by the title.

I bought the target bonus with the autograph booklet and it looks like Thomas that works at Target signed it.

I think Cardboard Heart is the best because it is funny enough. Country Gold is actually a pop funk song similar to Uptown Funk and has a similar message to Drink A Little Beer, and When We're 80 is just DAHM wannabe. Musically they are still very pop.

"Drink A Little Beer" and "Sixteen" both charted on BB.
Can't think of another album that had 3 songs on country airplay chart.
