Who produced this? Kinda ok I guess, maybe a grower Jack Antonoff. That's why it's sonically close to "You Are In Love".

Anyone know why there are two versions? 1) reputation album and 2) a standalone single? That doesn't make sense unless they are different mixes.

I changed my mind. This is 1989 level.

#1 and #16 on iTunes, it has the #2 song down to 0.2596 when combined

I like it! It’s very chill. I may have rolled my eyes when she brought up her reputation yet again but the rest of the track helped me ignore it. The production is stellar. It’s definitely better than Gorgeous but shouldn’t be a single likewise.
I do want to say that all the Swifties who went to the secret sessions shouldn’t have hyped us up at all by saying this album was the best thing ever and that Gorgeous would murder careers, etc etc. Nothing what we’ve gotten is good as 1989 quality-wise (besides SIO as that is a steaming pile of s**t). However, I still enjoy what we’ve gotten, they aren’t downright terrible, but maybe below of what we know Taylor is capable of. And who knows, maybe the rest of the album IS a slay.

The existence of a single version is stupid and pointless hmm

It's solid. Lyrically the best thing she's released so far from this album. I didn't cringe once. But it's kind of just a chill, background track. She is having such an issue connecting this go round.

This is pretty nice but yeah, starting a love song by pointing fingers at her detractors (yet again) is distracting, to say the least.

What's the record for most #1s on the digital songs chart on an album? I'm sure this will go #1 easily making it her 4th consecutive of the project.

Meh. It's fine but I forgot it was on and didn't realize when it had repeated. Might work better upon repeated listens/in the context of the album. Better than "Gorgeous," less compelling than the singles.

Definitely her best song since 1989 and could easily fit in with that album. The harmonic line to these lyrics alone makes this a damn bop:
"I'm laughing with my lover, making forts under covers Trust him like a brother, yeah, you know I did one thing right Starry eyes sparkin' up my darkest night"

This is pretty nice but yeah, starting a love song by pointing fingers at her detractors (yet again) is distracting, to say the least. Idk she's being honest. It must be hard to find a guy that sees her for her when there's all this bs about her out there. I can understand that sometimes being in the gay community... everyone talks shit and I always worry whether a guy I'm dating will listen to that stuff.

Sleep sleep. Where is the chorus?

I LOVE this song! Probably the best we've got so far. As for those asking where the chorus is, I'm confused as to why you can't hear it. I think this is the catchiest song out of all 4 we've heard. Been stuck in my head all day like an ear worm. I love how subdued it is. I actually think this would make a good single - not a #1 smash, but more likable and catchy than the other stuff she's released this era.
