Which would include Adele and Sam Smith if we're talking vocals. (And Bieber is actually pretty talented vocal wise.) Lyrically... dude there's so many that are just as good if not better. Timberlake is talented, sure, but let's not act like he's the greatest mainstream pop has to offer, because he isn't. Do Adele and Smith really make music for the mainstream? Not really. Bieber? Thin voice, limited range, no uniqueness or power (He's basically an inferior Jesse McCartney or something along those lines), and if you've seen anything of Bieber live... his intonation is not really the best.

You can't even tell if that snippet is part of the actual song or just an intro.

Reminds me of the "BeFoUr" snippet thingy from Zayn's interview back in late 2015. We didn't know if that was going to be the lead single or what.

Stupendous disappointment of the Shake It Off video aside, Romanek is one of the true video visionaries, so I'm curious what this is going to look like.

I have to disagree, especially with someone like Mark Romanek. I'm still stunned that was what it was with him at the helm, but that's just me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ .

While the post was out-of-pocket, mostly due to the insinuation that Beyoncè is untalented, this post is just as egregious. He’s far from one of the greatest vocal talents in music today. He’s consistent, but vocally average at best. His songwriting, again, is average at best. “Hi my name is bob and I work at my job,” no thanks. I said mainstream pop, and it's not at all false given these standards. Let's see who we have... well, we have Justin Bieber, Halsey, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Drake.... yeah, I think Timberlake wins against all of them. And your post was pretty much an opinion without providing any sort of reason. I know what you said. And you’re still incorrect. And I can backup my stance with fact and reasoning, but why do you hold my argument to a higher standard than you hold your own? All you’ve presented is an opinion without any reasoning.

I've pointed out his range, the charisma in his vocals, and well... let's say unlike someone like Bieber or Gomez, he can actually sing the correct notes.

Justin Timberlake counts as a good vocalist? I can’t think of any song by him where his vocals are more impressive than what Bieber could do. Most recently:

The CSTF video is far more endearing than the Shake It Off video, imo.

Justin Bieber is far more talented than Beyoncé.
Am I doing this right yet?

As far as pop male vocalists are concerned... yeah, let's not throw any of the Justins on the list.
Acting like Bruno Mars don't even exist..... I tell ya.....

Timberlake sounds like an older version of Beiber, both can be quite whiny (sounds like they sing from their noses). Nothing impressive about either.

Especially songs like "My Love", "Can't Stop The Feeling!", "Cry Me a River", "Where Is The Love?" (just an uncredited feature, but you get the point). His exceptional falsetto is something Bieber could never pull off.

He did Janet dirty and Glory deserved better. He’s not the male Mariah. Move on.

If ya'll wanna talk about a male artist with good vocals Bruno Mars is always delivering Hell, I put Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, & Sam Smith all far above JT JT's voice can be irritable at times
As far as songwriting, he has never been all that, he's no writing genius like Mariah Carey

Digitally delivered with the radio edit and main version How long is the album version? I hoped “Can’t Stop The Feeling” signaled the end of that five minutes too long business!

i wonder if it's gonna break any of the records that Taylor just broke. :kii: It will probably break the biggest bullet loss and greatest loss of spins in a single week when it's done/radio decides it's done with it and after it gets to number one, it will be purged sooner than LWYMMD.

I've pointed out his range, the charisma in his vocals, and well... let's say unlike someone like Bieber or Gomez, he can actually sing the correct notes. Ok but Selena and Bieber still make GREAT music, which is all the current generation (me) care about these days, as long as it sounds good on my beats, it’s a win. Could care less if you can’t perform it live. I would be surprised if this JT song is better that Good For You, Sorry, Fetish, or Love Yourself. Although I hope it is, because I’m a big fan of JT as well.

You can make good music without having a great voice. We were discussing vocals though, and both Bieber and Gomez are pretty terrible in that area. For me, I care about vocals, production, lyrics, even genre in a lot of cases. The message the song is trying to put across as well.
