I know this seems irrelevant, but it really isn't. The FCC is voting on December 14th to take away Net Neutrality, What is net neutrality? Why does it matter? Net neutrality is the principle that Internet providers like Comcast & Verizon should not control what we see and do online. In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization—"fast lanes" for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else. We are Team Internet. We support Net Neutrality and freedom of speech. No matter what your stance is, nearly everyone who understands and depends on the Internet supports net neutrality, whether they're startup founders, activists, gamers, politicians, investors, comedians, YouTube stars, or typical Internet users who just want their Internet to work as advertised—regardless of their political party. We need to stand together and prevent the FCC from taking away our human rights. If you enjoy chart watching and talking about them here, please help us fight the FCC from destroying the internet; Call congress, call your local representative, email the FCC, help spread the word. Go to www.battleforthenet.com/ for more information. Thank you, and power to the people!

I've been wondering though, how does it affect music specifically?

I've been wondering though, how does it affect music specifically? This is just a guess but I assume it would be possible for artists to pay ISPs to slow down the loading speed of other songs bar their own on streaming platforms, namely YouTube. Other than that I guess it could affect Billboard, Twitter, Facebook, Spotify, YouTube itself, all affecting music and chart consumption
